About this film

The themes of Macbeth have been used and turned into a 1940's gangster film trailer using film noir cinematography. Extracts from the original text have been used to show that although the language is dated, the themes and issues are timeless.

Amber
This was well good. I liked the way in which you presented it. The "gangster effect" with the guns blazing was a brilliant way in which you captured the fact that Macbeth is a dated play but we, people in the 20th century, still recognize it today because that’s what happens. The ambition, murder still goes on today. I think this is my favorite one out of all the 60 second Shakespeare movies.

Romana + Jay

Susan from New York

Yo
Yeah, it was nearly wiickeed, sound a bit dodgy though.

Paola Wigmore
Beautiful atmospheric cinematography.Very well acted. Liked the way the themes were highlighted by simple, repeat phrases. I'd like to see the whole film! 10 out of 10!

Naomi Sykes
That was really good, you could tell what was going on and I liked the classy affect of black and white screening. The only thing wrong was the volume which kept getting higher and lower.
