About this film

We chose Much Ado About Nothing because we were studying it for our SATs. We worked at the City Learning Centre using green screen and decided to make a 60 Second Shakespeare film. We wanted to make it funny because it was one of Shakespeare's comedies. We wanted to cover as much of the story as possible, but focused on our set scenes. The story is set in Messina and is a romantic comedy which tells the tale of Hero and Claudio's romance and the evolving relationship between Benedick and Beatrice. The plot thickens when Don John spreads lies about Hero saying that she is 'disloyal'. The themes of the play are dishonour and distrust.

I believe that this is a great film put together by all of my mates and I strongly agree that they should win because I fancy all of the characters

this 60 second movie was ok not brilliant

Very effective mix of actors, stills and music to convey the story clearly
