About this film

Roses are red, Violets are blue, Shakespeare wrote Macbeth, here’s our version for you. The students spent time thinking about what aspect of the story of Macbeth they wanted to look at and decided that they wanted to explore the emotions and dehumanisation of the characters. They did this using strong colours (inspired very much by 'Hero') to emphasise the mood and to then move into black and white, the visual anti-climax used to both illustrate the destruction of Macbeth and how the guilt takes away his humanity.
