About this film

This film uses a speech from Richard II as a starting point. It is a speech in which John of Gaunt recognises the importance of England, its security (freedom from war and disease) and how beautiful it is. Our aim, in using a variety of voices and faces, is to make the viewer think about the diversity of modern England and about whether those virtues are still true. Year 12 and 13 Performing Arts and Media BTEC students produced the film. Music was helpfully provided by Nick Jew.
