Since her big break in Coronation Street, Joanne’s appeared in many TV dramas, including The Street, Life on Mars and Paradise Heights.
Joanne made her TV debut playing a teenage prostitute in The Bill, before getting her big break as pregnant 16-year-old Zoe Tattershall on Coronation Street.
"Originally I was only going to be in it for four episodes," she reveals, "But it grew and grew which was fantastic for me. By the time I left I'd been in it for three years."
Since leaving the Weatherfield cobbles, Joanne's never looked back, becoming a stalwart of TV drama with roles in Other People's Children, Lorna Doone, The Stretford Wives and Nice Guy Eddie among others.
She won acclaim for her portrayal of the title character in Danielle Cable: Eyewitness, and also appeared in the harrowing Murder in the Outback.
Other credits include Paradise Heights, The Street, Life on Mars and Nature Boy, appearing alongside Lee Ingleby in each of the latter three.
