Since her TV debut as Bleak House's Ada Clare, Carey's gone on to star in a number of dramas.
Carey's become a regular face in period pieces, having also starred in the 2005 film version of Pride and Prejudice, playing Kitty Bennett, and 2007's TV adaptation of Northanger Abbey.
Other credits include Trial and Retribution, The Amazing Mrs Pritchard and Waking the Dead.
