Following her big break in Coronation Street, Angela's proved there is life after soap with roles in hit dramas such as Cutting It, Waterloo Road and Holby City.

She joined Coronation Street in 1993 as hairdresser Fiona Middleton. Her character had an on/off relationship with bad boy Steve McDonald. For a while it looked as if she and baby Morgan had tamed him, but he had a fling with her best friend Maxine and Fiona hit the road in 1998.

Her post-Coronation Street career has seen her play Holby City's fiesty Jasmine, vain Darcey in Cutting It, salsa dancing Chantelle in Babyfather, step-mother Frankie in rural drama Down to Earth, and teacher Kim Campbell in Waterloo Road.

In 1995 she was awarded the Most Popular Newcomer Award at the National Television Awards for Coronation Street.
