Susie Amy as Tessa Darling

Tessa Darling (played by Susie Amy)

Warm-hearted and gregarious, Tessa wins people's trust and loyalty wherever she goes, but beneath her extrovert exterior lurks a fragile ego. Image-conscious and fitness-obsessed, Tessa works out regularly but is still deeply insecure about her looks and figure. As a result she shies away from the physical intimacy that Charlie craves.

Susie spends her time lunching with mates which keeps her sweet on a superficial, materialistic level - but she's deeply bored and unhappy. Tessa is conscious that she appears to be a shallow person but lacks direction. Tessa's friendship with Al will give her a new lease of life as he boosts her confidence and encourages her to get a job. The newly confident Tessa will make Charlie look at her with fresh eyes.
