Holby Blue is a drama set in the fictional city of Holby. It's centred around Holby South police station and the lives and loves of its dedicated heroes.

The show's a franchise of popular medical dramas Casualty and Holby City. In the second series, Holby Blue crossed paths with Holby City when the hospital's well respected Registrar, Jac, was falsely accused of stabbing a man. Following a humiliating arrest, she was subjected to a series of gruelling questions in a storyline that spanned both dramas.

New to the show is young and charismatic Detective Chief Inspector Scott Vaughan (Oliver Milburn). Scott was drafted in to replace Harry who was arrested at his own retirement party on corruption charges.

Acting Inspector Christian is in charge of uniform including constables Robert, Lucy, Kelly, Neil and Billy.

Holby Blue is a stand alone series - you don't need to have watched Casualty or Holby City to understand what's going on.

The show is made by Red Planet Pictures, in association with Kudos, the production team behind Life on Mars and Hustle.
