Alejandro and his sister are fugitives wanted for murder, on the run from their home in the Dominican Republic. It transpires that he was about to get married when Maya discovered his future bride was cheating on him. Discovering her powers she killed the bride and all the occupants in the village.
Captured by the police, Maya uses her power to set her brother free. The pair escape with the help of Derek and his car, but come across Gabriel Gray. Gabriel tells Alejandro his plans for the Herrera's and sure enough Alejandro is quickly dispatched.

Shalim started his TV career at the age of seven, starring in a television show Los Angelitos about a children's' school. He moved to Miami, Florida with his family, where he tried a career as a model. Later on, his singing career took off as he was signed by Emilio Estefan, husband of Gloria Estefan.
