Tracy bears a striking resemblance to Niki Sanders, and discovered from Dr Zimmerman that he created her, along with her two sisters. When she tried to kill herself, overwhelmed at the revelations and scared of her ability, Nathan rescued her. The pair went to Angela, who told them that her ability couldn't be taken away, and to Mohinder, where they almost became his next victims. However, when they found Arthur at Pinehearst, Tracy went behind Nathan's back to offer Arthur help in return for his help later on. Tracy persuaded Nathan to become the public face of Arthur's schemes and introduced him to the concept of Intelligent Design, whereby only the best candidates were given specially selected powers. At the end of Volume 3, Tracy froze Knox to death to save Nathan, but Nathan fired her when she suggested taking the formula documents and running away. While the laboratory was being destroyed, Hiro stole the two halves of the formula from under Tracy's nose. But she escaped and picked up Mohinder outside Pinehearst. As Volume 4 opened, Tracy was one of those taken in Nathan's grand plan. She escaped and tried to bargain with Nathan by giving him Peter in exchange for her life, but she was betrayed and recaptured by The Hunter. Trapped in Building 26 where she could not use her powers, a hope for escape came in the form of her friend Abby, who was inspecting Nathan's operation. However, noticing the chain holding her had loosened, she tried to escape but froze a guard to death. Abby saw the whole thing and guaranteed Nathan's funding. Tracy lied to The Hunter to try and protect Nathan. She was broken out of Building 26 by Rebel, only to be followed by H.R.G. She agreed to lead him to Rebel in return for her freedom, but was horrified when Micah approached her and revealed that he was Rebel. She told Micah to set off the sprinkler system and run. She then created a cold snap, freezing the room, the agents and herself. Danko, with a wry smile, shattered her icy body with a single shot, but as a fragment of her face managed a wink, was she really gone?
