Mohinder Suresh

Mohinder Suresh

SUPERPOWER: Super strength

LOCATION: Washington D.C.

JOB: Former agent of Pinehearst

FAMILY: Father: Chandra (deceased), Sister: Shanti (deceased). He is also Molly's carer.

Season 1

Mohinder was a genetics professor from India. He came to New York to investigate the sudden death of his father, Chandra. Chandra was compiling a list of humans with special abilities. Mohinder continued his dad's research and discovered that one of the super-humans, a man named Sylar, was killing the people on the list and absorbing their powers. He also killed Chandra. Mohinder then tried to warn the people on his father's list about Sylar. The Company, meanwhile, tried to get Mohinder to work with them and share information. They showed Mohinder their method of tracking super-humans, by using a young girl called Molly Walker. She had the ability to locate people. She could also help find Sylar but her powers were being inhibited by the same neuro-degrading virus that killed Shanti Suresh, Mohinder's sister. Mohinder managed to cure her by using antibodies found in his own blood. He later protected Molly from Mr Bennet, who wanted to kill her and disable the tracking system in order to protect Claire. In the final episode of Season 1, Mohinder and the other heroes came together at Kirby Plaza and managed to stop Sylar.

Season 2

Mohinder was in New York giving speeches about superhumans and was approached by a mysterious man named Bob who offered him a job at The Company. It didn't take long for Bob to start manipulating Mohinder for the greater good. Armed firstly with a stun gun and later a handgun, Mohinder shot and killed H.R.G, but Claire's blood brought H.R.G back to life. Mohinder found himself embroiled in The Company and was unable to leave.

Season 3

Mohinder injected himself with a formula that gave him super-human abilities. However he soon worked out that something was wrong with the formula, as he gradually turned evil. His relationship with Maya came to a sour end when he attacked and cocooned her. He tried to make amends by taking Maya to Pinehearst and asked for Arthur's help to develop the formula to cure himself. Mohinder's findings revealed to Arthur the existence of a mystery catalyst needed to complete the formula. After Maya had her powers removed by Arthur, she told Mohinder that she couldn't forgive him. Mohinder broke out of Pinehearst to see her, but when he realised his mutation was coming back he couldn't face her. So he returned to work with Arthur. At the close of Volume 3, Flint and Peter started destroying his laboratory, dousing Mohinder in his own formula. Safely outside Pinehearst it looked like his mutation was cured. Then from out of nowhere Tracy appeared and picked Mohinder up in her waiting car. In Volume 4, Mohinder had returned to life as a taxi driver, until he was captured by H.R.G. He escaped with the others, and based on one of Matt's drawings, decided to fight back and seek justice. His first step was to drug and kidnap H.R.G. Mohinder tried to cover up that H.R.G had approached him weeks earlier, warning him about an attack; but this was uncovered by Matt and caused friction between the heroes. Paying the price for going after H.R.G, he was captured and detained in Building 26. He escaped from Building 26 along with his friends, and stayed in hospital with Matt until Daphne died. Unable to persuade Matt to leave with him, Mohinder returned to New York and discovered some mysterious documents his father had hidden about his work at a place called Coyote Sands. He struggled to come to terms with his father's involvement in the massacre. This made him stay behind when the Petrellis left. He was soon captured and detained in Building 26, but finally rescued by Hiro and Ando.
