"Script, plot & direction were superb."

"The words BBC and drama in the same sentence normally put me in a coma with images of Edwardian costumes springing to mind. This collaboration with HBO though has to be comended.
The scheduling may have been a disaster, but the quality of the production with Spooks' David Oyelowo; the Equaliser himself; and the rest of the cast, as well as the script, plot & direction was superb. Hats off to all involved."
Paul Byrne, Dublin, Ireland

"Brilliant story, but yet again with a drama the ending was too quick. How did Matt suddenly know Leanne was still alive when drowned? One of the police actually explaining what had happened would have made for a much more satisfactory conclusion."
Kay, Hertfordshire

"The twist in the story was very gripping."
|
"This episode was great. The twist in the story - with Matt's best friend turning out to be in with the murder - was very gripping. The emotional side was very powerful and possibly had everyone in tears. But the comedy to lighten the plot was extremely well done.
Beautiful acting and moving scripts made this drama a success."
Cale Jade, London

"Five Days started out well for the first three episodes but by the final one it seems the writers had forgotten the basics of plotting, characterisation and story climax.
Just one example (though there were a few) - don't spend chunks of the last episode of a series on a sub-plot about the retirement of a police officer that has no bearing to the main story. It wasn't even mentioned before the last hour. Especially when the stories of other main characters haven't been resolved."
Kieran, London

"I found the ending very confusing. Am I alone?"
|
"This was a great series and kept me watching for the whole five hours, but I found the ending very confusing. Am I alone?
Why was Gary involved in Leanne's death? I can see why he was called by Kyle, but why did he go along with disposing her body in the lake?
Did Gary have some issue with Matt? If he did this was missed in our house. I cannot see why he was involved at all. Why didn't he just shop Kyle to the police?"
Laurence Weeks, Ilford, Essex

"Loved watching Five Days, and got very hooked. But I feel slightly disappointed and let down by what could have been a brilliant drama.
There are so many unanswered questions. Who killed Branko? I understand that Kyle panicked and called Gary? But why did Gary do what he did? If somebody knows please tell me!
Maybe they should have called it Six Days and explained everything a bit better."
