Patricia Hodge
Patricia's stately, fine-boned features have graced many TV dramas, several feature films and the stage since the 1970s. One of her first TV roles was alongside John Hurt in The Naked Civil Servant and she's won a Laurence Olivier award for her theatre work. Patricia guest stars in series 2 of Waking the Dead.

Patricia's well known to drama buffs as Phyllida Erskine-Brown in Rumpole of the Bailey. She also starred in Disraeli, Edward and Mrs Simpson and Hotel du Lac. Particularly memorable was her role as a selfish novelist in The Life and Loves of a She-Devil alongside Dennis Waterman. She also played Margaret Thatcher in The Falklands Play.

She's appeared in several feature films including The Elephant Man, again alongside John Hurt, Blake Edwards' Sunset and Betrayal which was written by Harold Pinter.
Patricia's especially well known for her stage work, starring in Separate Tables, The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie and Trevor Nunn's Money/Summerfolk at the Royal National Theatre.

She plays the piano and guitar, has a mezzo-soprano singing voice and is highly skilled at ballet and tap dancing.
She studied at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA) and was awarded an honourary degree from Brunel University in 2001 where she trained to be a teacher.

Patricia was born on 29th September 1946 in Cleethorpes, Lincolnshire.
She's married to Peter Owen and had her sons, Alexander and Edward, in her 40s after 12 years of unexplained infertility.
