Julie Walters
One of Britain’s most accomplished and diverse actresses, Julie Walters' work ranges from comedy with Victoria Wood to films such as Educating Rita and Billy Elliot, both of which earned her Oscar nominations and BAFTA awards. Parts in GBH, Murder and My Beautiful Son have seen her dubbed 'the nation's favourite mum'.

Murder was Julie's third role about the loss of children, following My Beautiful Son, for which she won a best actress BAFTA, and the stage production All My Sons, which earned her an Olivier award.

Playing a mum's nothing new for Julie, whose parts range from Robert Lindsay's 76-year-old mother in GBH, to Petunia, Victoria Wood's batty parent in Dinnerladies.
In 2003, she starred in Canterbury Tales. She played ageing actress Beth Craddock, who married her toyboy lover Jerome in The Wife Of Bath.
Her other credits include Talking Heads, Boys from the Blackstuff and Oliver Twist on TV, and the films Personal Services, She'll Be Wearing Pink Pyjamas and Buster.
