Jeff Rawle
Although perhaps best known for his role in the comedy Drop the Dead Donkey, Jeff has a wealth of drama credits. They include Fortunes Of War, Take A Girl Like You, Dalziel and Pascoe and Death In Holy Orders.

Jeff's first major TV role was the title part in Billy Liar for LWT in 1973. He's since found a niche playing rather weak, put-upon characters such as George in Drop the Dead Donkey, Ezra in The Life and Times of Henry Pratt and Paul in Faith in the Future. He also played the title role in Neville's Island and starred in children's serial, Microsoap.

He's popped up in numerous other series such as The Good Sex Guide, Wycliffe, Minder, Casualty, Doctor Who, Boon and Bergerac.
Jeff's appeared in a number of feature films such as A Hitch in Time, Testimony of a Child and The Doctor and the Devils.
Among his stage appearances, Jeff's been in Michael Frayn's highly-acclaimed Noises Off at the Piccadilly Theatre.
Jeff's a prolific narrator and has voiced an audiobook of A Bear Called Paddington, three series of the Duchess of York's Budgie, the Little Helicopter, Stephen Hawking's Universe and Tom Fort's The Grass is Always Greener for Radio 4.
His distinctive voice and adeptness for quirky characters have made him the frontman for several advertising campaigns.

Jeff worked at the Sheffield Playhouse before training to be an actor at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA).
He played an AIDS counsellor in EastEnders and a character called Plantagenet in a 1984 Doctor Who adventure, when Peter Davison was the Doctor.
Jeff co-wrote The Young Poisoner's Handbook for TV in 1995 and the screenplay for the feature film Who Goes There?
He has an excellent ear for northern accents. He's also very musical and plays the drums and other percussion, guitar and piano.
