Jaime Murray in HustleJaime Murray

Glamourous and beautiful actor Jaime Murray broke into TV with her role as seductive con-artist Stacie Munroe in Hustle. She also appears in the BBC ONE updating of Shakespeare's Taming of the Shrew and in romantic comedy Love Soup this autumn.

What's she been in?
  • Jaime Murray is best known for playing beautiful and very sharp con artist Stacie Monroe in stylish drama Hustle, alongside Adrian Lester, Robert Vaughan, Marc Warren and Robert Glenister. Her character is a real femme fatale, using her womanly wiles to pick pockets and pull off calculating cons.

  • Hustle was Jaime's first major TV role - and one that pushed her straight into the deep end. "I was terrified before I started" she told BBC publicity. "I kept thinking, 'Oh my God! I'm working with Adrian Lester and Robert Vaughn. Any time now someone is going to tap me on the shoulder and ask me to get my coat!'"

  • Jaime plays glamorous model Bianca Mignola in Sally Wainwright's updating of Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew. Attractive and popular, Bianca contrasts sharply with her agressive sister Katherine, played by Shirley Henderson. When Bianca says she'll marry only when her sister does, it throws her many admirers into a panicked frenzy to match Katherine up with someone. Jaime stars alongside Rufus Sewell, Twiggy Lawson*, Stephen Tompkinson and David Mitchell.

  • Jaime also guest starred as Natalie in David Renwick-penned romantic comedy Love Soup, starring Tamsin Greig and Michael Landes.

  • Jaime has recently finished work on Poirot, The Mystery of the Blue Train*, in which she plays Ruth Kettering, alongside David Suchet, James D'Arcy and Oliver Milburn.

  • Other TV roles she has had include appearances on The Bill*, Doctors and Nurses and Casualty. She has also appeared in several stage productions.

  • Jaime was diagnosed as having dyslexia just before taking her A Levels.

  • Despite that, she began a degree in Philosophy and Psychology, but gave it up to study acting instead.

  • She also sang on pop record "I'm Alive" by Stretch and Vern*, back in 1996.

  • Wearing a Wonder Woman* costume in one episode of Hustle got Jaime an invite to audition for the part in the Wonder Woman Hollywood* movie currently in production, after her co-star Robert Vaughan showed the episode to studio bosses.
