Holly Aird
Having been discovered at the age of nine, Holly's grown up around cameras and film sets. She went on to make a name for herself in Soldier, Soldier and has since appeared in many TV shows and films. She's now best known for playing workaholic tough nut Frankie Wharton in the popular BBC crime drama Waking the Dead.

| One of Holly's first roles was in The History of Mr Polly in 1980. She followed her success in Soldier, Soldier with starring roles in Dressing for Breakfast, Have Your Cake and Eat It and Rules of Engagement.

In 1992, Holly had a small part in Carry on Columbus. She followed her break into films with Intimate Relations and Fever Pitch opposite Colin Firth. She starred alongside fellow Waking The Dead star Trevor Eve in Possession.
Holly also enjoys stage work and has appeared in The Ice Man Cometh at the Almeida Theatre alongside Kevin Spacey.

Holly was first spotted by a casting director while at ballet school. She's been acting ever since, but is still profficient in ballet as well as blues, contemporary, jazz and tap dance.
She played the young Beatrix Potter in 1982's The Tales of Beatrix Potter.
Since working on Waking the Dead, Holly's developed a fascination with DNA and forensic science.
Holly's passions include interior design, pottery and playing the guitar.
