Eva Birthistle
Eva Birthistle stars as Jane Lavery in the conspiracy thriller The State Within. Her big TV drama break was playing young trainee Maria in Trust, alongside Robson Green and Sarah Parish. She also spent three years in Irish serial Glenroe and has a plethora of Irish films under her belt.

Eva's first TV role was as Regina Crosbie in the popular serial Glenroe, one of Irish channel RTE's highest-rated shows. She stayed for three years until 1998.

She then set about building a solid CV with a variety of roles in Irish films, including 1997's Drinking Crude co-starring Hollywood heartthrob Colin Farrell (Minority Report) and TV movie Miracle at Midnight with legendary actress Mia Farrow in 1998.
In 2002 Eva starred in two dramas about the same challenging subject, Bloody Sunday, a documentary-style drama starring James Nesbitt, and Sunday written by Jimmy McGovern. In both dramas she played a character called Maura.

Eva appeared in Trust, an ensemble drama set in a city law firm. She played Maria Acklam, assistant to lawyer Stephen (Robson Green). Her other co-stars included Sarah Parish, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Neil Stuke and Ian McShane.
In 2006, she stars as human rights lawyer Jane Lavery, in conspiracy thriller The State Within.
