Chiwetel Ejiofor
One of Britain's most promising actors, Chiwetel has attracted a huge amount of praise from the critics. After a part in Spielberg's Amistad, his career really took off with his performance in Stephen Frears' Dirty Pretty Things. He's equally at home on the small screen, where his credits include The Knight's Tale and Trust.

In 1997 Chiwetel was hand-picked by Steven Spielberg for the part of James Covey, the translater in Amistad. With his profile rising, he won lead roles in British films Greenwich Mean Time with Steve John Shepherd (This Life) and It Was an Accident with Max Beesley.
He has also established a respected reputation as a stage actor, appearing in high-profile productions for the Almeida Theatre Company and Royal National Theatre. His performance as Christopher in Blue/Orange with Andrew Lincoln (This Life and Teachers) at the Royal National Theatre was widely acclaimed as a triumph.

Chiwetel received rave reviews as for his perfomance as Nigerian Okwe in Dirty Pretty Things, a film by Stephen Frears. Okwe and friend Senay (Audrey Tautou, better known as Amelie) are illegal immigrants, living hand-to-mouth existences in London. In the course of working in one of his thankless jobs, Okwe makes a sinister discovery that puts both of them in danger.

In Trust, a drama set in a City law firm, Chiwetel stars as hedonistic Ashley Carter. One of the firm’s most loyal solicitors, Ashley is about to turn 30 and has one of the sharpest minds in the company. His co-stars include Robson Green, Sarah Parish, Eva Birthistle and Ian McShane.
