Ben joined on 3 September 2001 and left on 13 June 2005.
Ben was a dedicated doctor with a colourful love life and a fiery temper.
Soon after joining the practice, Ben fell into a relationship with Faith, but couldn't commit. After she was raped by Liam, he rushed to defend her and narrowly escaped being charged for assault.
Ben fared little better with Kali and Jude who both rejected his marriage proposals. In Jude's case, Ben had tried to support her when she discovered that her baby had Down's Syndrome. But Jude knew she didn't love him and turned him down.
On a night out with Faith, Ben disturbed an intruder and beat him up. To Ben's horror, the burglar pressed charges for grievous bodily harm. Ben escaped conviction, but was overcome with guilt. Needing to get away, he left Letherbridge and went travelling with his son, Nathan.
