Melody requested some time off, telling a concerned Nick that she didn't care about her training at the moment. Ruth and Michelle tried in vain to counsel a downbeat Archie.
A jubilant Vivien returned from her driving course. Having passed the theory test, they all went out for a celebratory drink.
Meanwhile two intruders broke into a house. Having seen that Ryan had a knife, it dawned on Lee that this was no straightforward burglary. He wanted to leave, but it was too late, as the front door opened... It was Vivien.
9 - 13 June
Daniel opened up to George about missing Joe and feeling lonely, so George invited him to dinner. However Ronnie bluntly asked Daniel about his time on remand and implied he'd got what he deserved. Daniel left feeling as lonely as ever.
Archie caught JJ dealing drugs at Melody's flat, so went to Eva for advice. She hatched a plan to catch JJ red-handed and Archie reluctantly told Eva where she could find him. It all went to plan and JJ was arrested. Archie was wracked with guilt when he saw a shocked and upset Melody, but she overheard Archie talking to Eva and knew he had been involved. JJ was bailed.
Things got even worse for Melody when Nick insisted on recommending another six months training. Melody was incensed and stormed out. Later, she broke up with Archie. His attempts to explain himself failed and she said she could never forgive him.
2 - 6 June
Ruth was in high spirits after enjoying a girly weekend with Michelle. They returned to Ruth's place to collect the last of her things, but found everything gone and a note from Davey saying he'd left.
Jimmi reluctantly agreed to another driving lesson with Vivien. But things went from bad to worse as Vivien crashed into Jimmi's car and then took a wrong turn, ending up in a military exercise area.
Archie was suspicious of JJ's behaviour and caught him with some stoner students. He dragged JJ away and took his stash. Archie appealed to JJ to leave and not get Melody involved.
Archie reluctantly told Melody about JJ's drug problem, but she refused to believe him. Later, JJ was all sweetness and light to Melody, but he was secretly arranging his next deal.
