The Year In Drama: December 2002
A year of eclectic drama ended with the satirical comedy-drama, Jeffrey Archer: The Truth, a story based on real events, with only the facts changed. Damian Lewis played Archer, with Greta Scacchi as Maragaret Thatcher, who embarked on an infamous strip routine.
In Tomorrow La Scala!, Jessica Stevenson played an ambitious young director who takes a production of Sweeney Todd, a musical about brutalisation and murder, into a maximum security prison using lifers as the chorus.
Dalziel and Pascoe returned for a two-part Christmas special with Jack Dee, Dervla Kirwin, Lucy Davies and John Sessions among the guest stars. And as a Boxing Day treat, TV's latest incarnation of Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson, Richard Roxburgh and Ian Hart, took on The Hound of the Baskervilles.
