I think this sounds like a lovely idea. I have three small girls, this sounds like something they would love! Doogle looks like he has plenty to offer in terms of adventure and fun. A great character in stories that could be as big as "The Sheep Pig"!

I think AJ has a superb and very profitable idea. The real life aspect of Dougal is a real selling point. Everyone loves animals, especially children and this idea can only go from strength to strength! Good Luck AJ, I cant wait to read the adventures of Dougal!! x

I think it's a fab idea! Dougal is a very cute and hilarious little monkey who I think would appeal to so many children and families! Get them on and get books published!!

I think this is a great idea. AJ is right, all the computer games and internet can take away the joy of reading. I work in schools and I am always told how important it is for children to go back to reading actual books to improve their spelling and vocabulary. Very marketable aswell as many children are into animals which are very easy characters to develop. Great idea, well worth the investment. Good luck..and I love the little pig!!

A great idea! Go for it! I also work in a primary school and agree that children respond really well to animal stories. The fact the Dougal is a real, living and breathing animal could really help you promote your story books - you could take him with you to country fairs, festivals or even into schools! The children will love meeting the star of the books. (Maybe even the pig?) It will be a magical experience for them. He could also really help keep children's reading linked to the countryside, nature and the great outdoors which is vital in this 'couch potato and video game' age. Best of luck to you. I hope they are a great success.

It may well be a lovely idea, it may well sell a lot of books, but is it a business proposition? There's no plan, there's no assets, there's no market research. How can someone be expected to throw money at an idea? You need a business plan in order to attract investment. Investers don't invest in a story. Good luck in your books
