I work in schools and I am always told how important it is for children to go back to reading actual books to improve their spelling and vocabulary. Very marketable aswell as many children are into animals which are very easy characters to develop. Great idea, well worth the investment. Good luck..and I love the little pig!!

  A great idea! Go for it! I also work in a primary school and agree that children respond really well to animal stories. The fact the Dougal is a real, living and breathing animal could really help you promote your story books - you could take him with you to country fairs, festivals or even into schools! The children will love meeting the star of the books. (Maybe even the pig?) It will be a magical experience for them. He could also really help keep children's reading linked to the countryside, nature and the great outdoors which is vital in this 'couch potato and video game' age. Best of luck to you. How can someone be expected to throw money at an idea? You need a business plan in order to attract investment. Investers don't invest in a story. Good luck in your books
