Just a quick note to let you know that not only will the post secure any caravan on the market, it will also secure any type of trailer on the market. The list of trailers is endless from trailers that carry boats and jetskis to horsebox trailers to fast food, plant and advertising trailers etc.

Adrian.

i think this is a relatively silly idea and £50000 is VERY steep so in my opinion it is just pointless

I would be the first to admit it is a very silly and pointless product. Unless you have spent thousands of pounds on your caravan or trailer, then i would be the first to admit it is probably THE most secure product on the market which will secure your caravan or trailer. The £50,000 is for a whole host of ultimate security products not just the post shown.

Adrian.

Just did a quick Google search... think there is too much competition out there already. Good design, but it needs to be as innovative as the stoplock to make an impact.

Just did a quick google search... and stoplock don't do anything like it, so why make a comparison. Great product, (not silly) and Unique. I have had amazing feedback from people in the know. Would appreciate a bit of research from people before placing stupid comments.

Adrian.

Stupid comments is a bit harsh...putting your idea on a website viewed worldwide and expecting all postive responses is a little short sighted. Although I can't comment for blood assassin's post and don't agree with him in that it's pointless I think you should consider each comment and respect an individuals views. My point is that Stoplock revolutionised motorist car crime prevention in the 90's - everyone bought one because it was innovative at the time. This product (along with others on your site) are too similar to those already out there. A Google search will show you many other companies distributing very similar items...even in the same bright orange colour! I don't claim to be in the know, just giving an individual opinion. I think you should consider better branding for a start. Even a simple logo contest on 99 designs.com may help provide you with a fantastic company identity which can make a significant first impression to potential suitors. Good luck

Happychappy, I do respect people's views and can take their criticisms, but I would never criticise something which I know nothing about. Just doing a quick Google search is not enough to make you an expert. Have you contacted Ford or Vauxhall and told them not to come up with any new cars for the market because you did a quick Google search and there is way too much competition.
As for my products, yes some are similar but not as well made, and my products usually have several extra security features incorporated into each product. You have my website email address could you please send me the details of other similar products to the post shown in the pitch. I am just starting out in business and my products will develope over the years and improve. I will also come up with new products. Your negative attitude and pointless comments (as shown on other pitches, 1 which has been removed) is just what this country needs. Why don't I just import the cheap foriegn inferior products and sell them on my website. That way I won't need to employ people, buy steel or anything else I need from struggling companies who need people like me and all the other entrepreneurs who are trying to make a decent honest living and keep the economy turning over. I (along with others)await your pitch so we can comment on what innovative, new to the market must have product you are bringing to the table.
Regards,
Adrian.

Missed 1 point out of the previous post. Talking about short sighted. None of my products are in the same bright orange colour you mentioned. My products are Bright Red or Bright Yellow which acts as a visual deterrent.

Just doing a quick Google search is (in my opinion) where a fair portion of your business could come from - unless you are insinuating that your products should only be purchased by security experts. It should also be a major target for you to prioritise your online presence as it has extremely low overheads and is a 24/7 Worldwide retail source for your venture - just my opinion though.
I believe, (again as you have stated I am no expert, and this is my opinion) that the automotive industry is much larger than that of security posts for caravans and trailers....the reason that Ford etc make cars is because there is a diverse market to tailor everybody's budget and personal taste. This is why there are well over 300 different car manufacturers in the world, they evolve and react to customer demand - a security post has limited possibilities, (in my humble opinion) and can easily be imitated and people won't want the latest model.
Your opinon on my posting activity on the site, is (in my opinion) incorrect. I have commented on the majority of the pitches on here in a non-biased manner and am impressed particularly with the original ideas on display - which in my opinion I am entitled to do. I am refrained from posting links on here as it is against the forum rules and my post will be removed again. Plus it is advertising for your competitors which in my opinion you wouldn't want me to do either.
Of course I will email you, what I think you are overlooking, again in my opinion, is that I am actually trying to help (I did my pitch about 30 Years ago if you must know) and because I am not writing things you want to read it is deemed "negative" and "pointless". I respect the fact that you are starting out in business, and want to put your ideas on here to the public rather than approaching a private investor/angel - if emailing you the competitor links/images helps in some way great. I hope you prove me wrong - but Of course this is just my opinion.

Happychappy, you seem to be getting a bit confused, I know how the internet works, so don't need a lesson there, You say my products are SIMILAR to others on the market, yes some are SIMILAR, some are completely DIFFERENT, innovative and unique. My reference to cars is that they are all SIMILAR eg 4 wheels, steering wheel, windows, indicators etc. but they are DIFFERENT.
New improved daz washing powder is SIMILAR to the old daz but DIFFERENT, you starting to get the message now how SIMILAR and DIFFERENT are not the same (look they aren't even spelt the same). On one pitch you commented on, you said it was a good idea, then asked how it worked, not sure you can comment on it being a good idea, if you don't know how it works. People spend a lot of time, effort and money trying to make a success of something they believe in, and need a helping hand (like myself, Hence the pitch on dragons den). What we don't need is pointless comments like "just did a quick google search" or "there are SIMILAR products on the market". We already know the obvious and would like criticisms or opinions (good or bad) we can act on.
Regards,
Adrian.

I can see both points of view here. You are certainly proud of your products though so fair play.

I brought one of these posts several months ago, after having 2 trailers stolen. One from a supposedely secure storage yard, the other off my drive with a wheel clamp on. The wheel clamp was a pain in the butt as I had to get down on one knee in all weathers and fiddle about with it getting it in the right place.
I can now secure my trailer in less than a minute no problem. The video does the post no justice as you can't see the quality of the materials used or how well put together and how solid it is. Definitely something worth investing in, you get vote, Good Luck.

If I had a caravan or trailer I would seriously consider buting one. I have not googled other products but have seen neighbours caravans with the wheel clamp on and I think it would be less hassle using the post - thats why it gets my vote. Entrenprnurs are the life blood of this economy so I applaud you - but I think happpychappy was only offering constructive critisism.
