The Dragons loved Levi Roots's lyrical presentation and spicy Carribean table sauce but has Reggae Reggae Sauce been hitting the right notes since?
The last time we caught up with Levi his sauce had just hit supermarket shelves and he's now sold over 9.5 million bottles of his table and cooking sauces. You can also find Reggae Reggae products in pubs, restaurants and freezer aisles across the country.
The success of Reggae Reggae sauce combined with Levi's huge personality has made him a popular guest at schools and colleges for talks on business and enterprise. Levi is full of praise for his own dragon mentors, especially Peter Jones: "He's a fantastic guy perhaps the greatest mentor and influence that I’ve ever met"
Levi's big ambition is to bring Caribbean food to the masses: "I think it is my great duty really to try to bring Caribbean food right up there along with Indian food and everything else that the British palette has taken to. I really believe that Caribbean food has been a sleeping giant."
With his 'Caribbean Food Made Easy' series for BBC Two and an accompanying cookbook, Levi's as busy as ever. He's also putting the finishing touches to a new album and plans to take the brand to America.
Levi was interviewed for this article on July 28 2009
