The sea wall on Brownsea Island separates the lagoon wildlife from the water of Poole Harbour.  A view between the east and west lakes of Brownsea, home to Little Grebes, Coots and Herons.  The Alder Carr is a flooded area of woodland which attracts insects, rare moths and water voles.  The Dorset Wildlife Trust manages a large reserve on Brownsea Island, this shows part of the trail.
