BBC Radio Solent Weekend ProgrammesYou are in: Dorset > BBC Radio Solent > BBC Radio Solent Weekend Programmes > Sally on Saturday ![]() Sally Taylor Sally on SaturdayMonday to Friday, you'll find her on the box presenting BBC South Today, but on Saturday mornings Sally Taylor presents the breakfast show on BBC Radio Solent - topical chat with listeners, guarenteed to put the 'life' into lifestyle. Sally Taylor 's new show is the flagship programme of BBC Radio Solent’s weekend line-up. A fun, lively and sociable Saturday morning show with the listeners firmly at its heart - it's the perfect way to start the weekend. The format is informal and relaxed yet lively with listeners invited into the studio each week to have coffee with Sally, taste the food being discussed on air and generally be a part of the show as it is broadcast live. The weekend brings a chance to unwind and have fun, and the atmosphere in the studio is no different. There's regular guests, great music, a flick through what’s happening on the magazine stands, competitions, comment on the big football fixtures of the afternoon - and much more. Sally explained the show has the ambience of a coffee bar with plenty of lively discussions: "Quite simply, I’m excited because I love radio! It’s going to be a fun show with fun guests and we want to invite our listeners to come in and be part of the show every week." “The informal feel to the show is a great accompaniment to everyone’s Saturday morning and a fun start to the weekend. One of the great things about radio is that I’ll be able to spend more time talking to listeners and while I might miss my Saturday morning lie in, it’s going to be great to have listeners in the studio every week taking part." As the main presenter on BBC One's South Today, Sally has reported on almost every big news story over the past two decades. She was recently awarded the MBE for services to regional broadcasting, collecting the honour from the Queen at a ceremony in Buckingham Palace in December 2005. last updated: 19/12/2007 at 10:57 SEE ALSOYou are in: Dorset > BBC Radio Solent > BBC Radio Solent Weekend Programmes > Sally on Saturday |
