Emilie had a taste of life on the West End stage when she was 14 - as part of the chorus for the 20th anniversary production of Les Miserables - and she absolutely loved it!
Emilie lives with her parents and younger sister, and has been living in the same house all her life. Her family are a great support to her, but she freely admits that she's probably a bit naive for her age, and hasn't experienced much of life - except through her performing. She started singing lessons at the age of 10, but she's been singing all of her life - it's one of her great passions.
Emilie has successfully taken Grade 5 Music Theory, Grade 8 Musical Theatre and Grade 8 Classical Singing, and most recently received a Music Theatre Diploma ALCM. She has performed in many theatres and concert halls for various concerts. Her biggest performance to date was The Official Opening of The Sage at Gateshead for Her Majesty the Queen.
Since her reprieve as the 'wild card Dorothy', Emilie has received mixed comments from the judges. She hits back with her version of Girls Just Want To Have Fun. But it's not enough to save her from the sing off. When the result comes in it's not good news and we say goodbye to Emilie.
Group performances this week started with the Dorothys opening the show with a unique version of The Tinman's If I Only Had A Heart, from The Wizard of Oz. Emilie, Jenny, Stephanie and Lauren performing The Deadwood from Calamity Jane. Charlotte performed Enough is Enough (No More Tears) with the Dorothys and then they mashed up Lady Gaga and Fred Astaire with A Fine Romance, Bad Romance Just Dance and Paparazzi.
Emilie was told by The Lord that he would like to see more control in her voice. She hoped to show him what she's got with her version of Moon River.
Group peformances this week were Michael Jackson's Ease On Down The Road, taken from the film The Wiz and Buenos Aires, in heels. Mashed up was Losing My Mind from Follies, Crazy In Love by Beyonce and Crazy by Gnarls Barkley?
Shelia felt that Emilie could have brought a little bit more to her performance in week 2. Can she do it with her version of The Boy Does Nothing?
The Dorothys got together this week for The Wizard of Oz classic, Ding Dong The Witch Is Dead, Judy Garland's Get Happy, Can't Stop The Beat from Hairspray and a mash up of Money and Madonna's Material Girl.
Bronte won the Dorothy mission and chose Amy, Emilie and Jessica to perform an extra song. Watch their farm girl version of the Girls Aloud classic, Love Machine. All the Dorothys came together for Merry Old Land of Oz and a mash up of Anything You Can Do and Broken Heels.
We get to meet the final 20 Dorothys and watch them perform Follow the Yellow Brick Road and We're Off To See The Wizard. Emilie then appears in group five with Amy, Danielle and Claire Hillier performing Rihanna's Take A Bow and If My Friends Could See Me Now from the musical Sweet Charity.
Selected to be in the final 20 Dorothys from thousands of auditions.
