The Monsters are Coming!

John Barrowman's search for an alien continues in Tonight's the Night! His new BBC One show recently launched a competition which invited members of the public to send in a photograph of themselves in a home-made alien costume, along with background information about their creation.

The best entrant is being chosen by John Barrowman, Denise Van Outen and Doctor Who casting director, Andy Pryor, who will decide who really puts the extra into extraterrestrial!

We reported last week that the winner would star with John in a specially shot scene, set in the TARDIS. Well, good news for Doctor Who fans! The scene will be written by Doctor Who Executive Producer Russell T Davies, so we can expect his customary blend of drama, humour and a twist in the tale...

The scene will be directed by Alice Troughton who has helmed two episodes of Doctor Who as well as Torchwood and The Sarah Jane Adventures. The Producer is Brian Minchin, Assistant Producer of Captain Jack's upcoming series, Torchwood: Children of Earth.

In this week's Tonight's the Night the quest for the best alien continues and the winner will be revealed in the May 23rd show where we'll also get to see the specially shot scene. Stand by for surprises...
