Doctor Who receives nine Bafta Cymru nominations.

After scooping six Bafta Cymru awards last year, Doctor Who will have a high profile at this years event to be held on Sunday, 17 May after receiving a total of nine nominations at the launch in Cardiff on Thursday.

Best Drama Series / Serial for Television - Phil Collinson

Best Director Of Photography: Drama - Rory Taylor for Silence in the Library

Best Sound - Doctor Who Sound Team for Midnight

Best Editor - Phillip Kloss for Midnight

Best Make-Up - Barbara Southcott for The Next Doctor

Best Screenwriter - Russell T Davies for Midnight

Best Original Music Soundtrack - Murray Gold for Midnight

Best Director: Film/Drama - Euros Lyn for Silence in the Library

...and Best Interactive - Rob Francis for this very website and our interactive offering.

As well as the nine nominations for Doctor Who, Torchwood, has also received two nominations for Best Design and Best Costume with a further nomination going to The Sarah Jane Adventures, for Best Children's Programme.
