Pest Control

Audio-exclusive story - and a chance to review it!

Back To News List

Pest Control is the first Doctor Who audio-exclusive story to be published by BBC Audiobooks. It will not be released as a book.

The title is read by David Tennant and features current companion, Donna Noble.

The narrative is accompanied by an original soundtrack and sound effects created by Simon Hunt.

Pest Control: by Peter Anghelides

The TARDIS is lost in battle on a distant planet. When the Doctor sets off in pursuit, Donna is left behind, and finds herself accepting a commission in the Pioneer Corps.

Something is transforming soldiers into monstrous beetles, and she could be the next victim! Soon comes the arrival of a brutal and remorseless mechanical exterminator, bent on wiping out the insects.

This robot's solution for the infestation is very simple: kill everything!

As with last weeks book news, we would like to offer reading... er, listening groups from schools across the UK the chance to review the audiobook.

Update:

Submissions for the listening groups is now closed. Thank you to all of you who put your groups forward.

Pest Control was released on 08 May 2008 on CD and as a download.
