Time For A Change

Time For A Change

A new look is coming to the Doctor Who website.

With a thrilling new TV series almost upon us, we've decided to make some exciting changes to the Doctor's interactive world.

Although it remains the BBC's most popular programme support website, the team here at BBC Wales New Media are always keen to try out new design ideas and technologies on the Doctor Who site. This means that, after three successful years of stars, swirls and hexagons, it's time for a fresh new look.

We've been working with a top design agency to create both a new site design and a much more dynamic way of accessing your favourite content. It will also be much easier to see what's new on the site, what's hot - and perhaps even discover older features and games you may have missed the first time around.

Don't worry - we're keeping all your favourite features, and adding plenty of brand new ones over the coming weeks. For example, look out for exclusive videos from the show's stars, quizzes, puzzles and The Monster Fileså We've got some surprises too, but we'll keep those under wraps for the moment.

As the Doctor Who site is so enormous, we'll be focussing on Series Four to begin with. As summer approaches, we'll then be looking at adding in everything from the first three series. In the meantime, that part of the site will remain in its current format.

The site will be relaunching on the afternoon of Wednesday 02 April 2008. You may experience a few disturbances in the space/time continuum during the day, as we try to ensure everything works as it should.
