Paul Cornell pens Christmas short story.
New series writer Paul Cornell has penned Deep and Dreamless Sleep, a short stand-alone Doctor Who Christmas story.
The mini adventure will feature in the Culture section of the Sunday Times on Christmas Eve.
"It's the story of something strange that happens to David Tennant's Doctor when the TARDIS lands in the bedroom of a four year old boy on Christmas Eve," says Paul.
"There's fun along the way, but in the end it's quite serious and real. It's written for a family audience. It'd be nice to think it was going to be read to some children somewhere!"
