Concert news: UPDATEDChildren in Need concert sells out instantly.

Tickets for the spectacular one-off Doctor Who concert in aid of BBC Children in Need went on sale today - and sold out in record time.

The star-studded concert takes place at the Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff on Sunday 19 November.

If you missed out on tickets, you'll be pleased to hear that the concert will be recorded by BBC Radio Wales and aired at a later date. It will also be filmed by Doctor Who Confidential for a special documentary to be shown later in the year.

Composer Murray Gold and the Doctor Who team are working together with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales and the BBC National Chorus of Wales to stage the show.

The BBC National Orchestra of Wales performing selections of Murray's celebrated incidental score, accompanied by a host of stunning visuals from Doctor Who.

The audience can also expect live appearances from some of The Doctor's greatest enemies including the Daleks and Cybermen.

David Tennant has confirmed that he will be on hand to take part in a question and answer session alongside Russell T Davies and Murray Gold.

Russell T Davies said "we are delighted to join forces with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales in aid of BBC Children in Need. The evening promises to be an audio visual spectacular. I can't wait to hear Murray Gold's extraordinary scores live on stage."

Ticket prices and the official programme include a donation to BBC Children in Need Appeal.
