The Eighth Doctor returns to BBC7.
If you're getting Doctor Who withdrawal symptoms already, then help is at hand! Starting this coming Sunday (16 July), digital radio station BBC7 will be starting a repeat season of the audio adventures of the Eighth Doctor (Paul McGann).
The season begins with Shada, an adaptation of Douglas Adams' final script for Doctor Who. In Shada, the Eighth Doctor reunites with his former companions Romana and K9 as they try to track down the most powerful book in the Universe.
Paul McGann is joined by Lalla Ward as Romana and John Leeson as the voice of K9, with Fawlty Towers star Andrew Sachs as the villainous Skagra and acting legend James Fox as the myserious Professor Chronotis.
Shada will be broadcast on BBC7 on Sunday nights at 6pm and Midnight for six weeks, from Sunday 16 July. From Sunday 27 August, the series of Eighth Doctor adventures will continue with the four-part adventures Storm Warning, Sword of Orion, The Stones of Venice, Invaders from Mars and The Chimes of Midnight.
