Fear Forecast: Parting of the Ways

Fear Factor 4: Chilling and Dalektastic

With pre-publicity tight for the finale of the series, the BBC invited the Fear Forecasters to a special screening of "The Parting of the Ways" in London.

So each kid obtained special permission to be out of school for a "doctor's appointment", and then gathered at BBC Television Centre with their entry password: "Badwolf".

While they waited for the screening to begin, the children frantically made paper aeroplanes. "It's the Dalek fleet!" explained Samuel. "Quick - we've got to build two thousand..."

As it's such a special episode, we've limited their comments to prevent spoiling a moment of it. And also because it was dark in the cinema, and we'd forgotten to bring along a luminous watch.

SCARIEST BITS: The attack on the space station.

Samuel: When Lynda-with-a-Y was killed after the Daleks broke the glass.

Adam: Yes! She was sucked out into the space vaccuum! And then the countries all changed shape when the Daleks attacked the Earth.

Harry: When the Doctor was surrounded by hundreds of Daleks was really scary. And when all those Daleks appeared at the window!

Amy: It was scary when the TARDIS light went into Rose. And when the Daleks exterminated people.

FUNNIEST BITS:

Samuel: The Anne-Droid blasts the Daleks! And then they blow her head off!"

Adam: It was good to see Mickey and Rose's mum again. I laughed when that pick-up truck appeared, because one of her neighbours owed her a favour. But why didn't Rose just *ask* the Tardis to open up?

Samuel: It was funny when they all kissed each other. Jack kissed Rose, and next he kissed the Doctor... and then the Doctor snogged Rose!

(The boys then discuss whether kissing lots of girls would be "Fear Factor 5".)

Harry: 'Barcelona'. Ha ha! (sings) 'Barcelooooona!' And Mickey fixing the TARDIS to the car. And when the Doctor said that he was brilliant.

Amy: Mickey's funny. I like Mickey. And it was funny when the TARDIS landed on the Dalek and Rose!

SADDEST BITS

Samuel: Captain Jack was very brave when he was exterminated by the Daleks. He managed to destroy some of them first, though.

Adam: And then when he gets better, they go and leave him behind!

(Mum and dad shed a tear when the Doctor tricks Rose into safety--and when she finds her way back again. But not too many tears--it's not dignified to be caught blubbing in a BBC screening room.)

Harry: It was a bit sad when the Doctor sent Rose home.

Amy: (looks puzzled) Nothing was sad.

MOST EXCITING BITS

Adam: The God Dalek was exciting. I liked the way the Daleks worshipped him. And the Daleks hovered like ghosts as they floated through space. But how do they go forwards if they've got boosters only on their bottoms?

Samuel: They've got boosters on their bottoms! Ha ha!

Harry: The Emperor Dalek! The Dalek missiles! All that Bad Wolf writing!

Amy: (with a mischievous smile) It was all silly!

THE ENDING: Fantastic!

Samuel: Wow!

Adam: The Doctor's costume didn't change when his face did.

Samuel: Teeth! Ha ha!

Adam: The planet Barcelona!

Samuel: "The Christmas Invasion"... is that a joke?

Adam: The Doctor's right, you know... they were great.

Harry: The new Doctor is going to be 'Fantastic'! (Harry impersonates the Doctor by giving a big grin and showing lots of teeth)

Amy: Can I have an ice cream now please?

Thomas
A good ending for the season although the new doctor certainly has some big shoes to fill. I wouldn't have minded a more dramatic and sad ending, you know like alpha&omega-rose not surviving but instead merging with the tardis with some speach about how she will always be with her timelord.

Hannah
ABSOUTELY BRILLIANT! Ive been hooked since day 1, fab ending aswell specially the last bit "Barcelona" (starts singing "Barcelona") Chris Eccleston was great, im sad to see him go but I think David Tennant will wipe the floor in the 2nd series ROLL ON DECEMBER 2005: THE CHRISTMAS INVASION,

val
Fantastic! What more can I say about a series that been riviting. Chris Eccleston acted superbly- portraying a tormented but courageous hero. His affection/love for Rose was heartbreakingly real. I cried when the Doc gave his life for her. The last episode was just brilliant -can't wait for the next series but Chris will be missed badly. I hope David isn't a lightweight.

Robert Graffham
Funniest bit: Mickey: There's a new pizza place in town. Mrs. Tyler: What do they sell? Mickey: Pizza.

Saz
Cracking episode; a little disappointed over the 'Bad Wolf' resolution though, I thought it was going to be something to do with the Doctor's dark past, especially after his discussion with Margaret the Slitheen. Chris did a fantastic job with the Doctor and I know David Tennant is going to do equally well; I'm actually kinda glad Chris only did the one series, that way he does all he can with the character in a shorter period of time rather than trying to stretch him too thin over a longer period. All in all, fanTAStic!

BOb THe dALek!?!
I thought that doctor who was the best show that i have seen in all of my life and I can't wait until the next series pops out of the TARDIS for another adventure thank you so much BBC p.s. how did you do all those special effects so quick you are like hollywood BRAVO!

Lucy
It was great!!! I CANT BELIEVE THEY LEFT JACK BEHIND!!! You don't usually forget people like that.....but the doctor said in the program " always move on!"

Chrissie
Thank you very much for such a fantastic series. It was great to be able to watch something as a family and know that we would all enjoy it equally. My 5 yr old daughter has loved every second of it and is already counting the days until the xmas special.

Chris Rushmere-York
I think that David Tennant will be the 2006 Tom Baker because of the witty joke he made. Also the Emperor Dalek was fantastic,so was the regeneration.

Aileen
I am a very big kid (24) and had never watched Dr Who B4. I have to say its the best thing on TV. The last episode had everything, funnies, romance sadness and fear. absolutely brilliant, cant wait for the christmas special and the next series although really going to miss Christopher Eccleston as I though him and billie worked really well together.

Stephen (36)
The final epiode was the best ever produced in the 42 year history of the series, the Christmas Special has a lot to live up to along with the 2nd series. One suggestion keep Doctor who on Saturday nights but please put it on during the Autumn /Winter season like it was when I first watched it in the 1970's you'll probably get even bigger audiences with the nights drawing in.

Mr Coco (39)
Name me another family drama series anywhere on TV that is watched and enjoyed by the whole family. This series proved that there is an audience for popular family drama. By the way, i have been watchin g David Tennant since he played a transexual in Rab C Nesbit. He is an actor of incredible ability. Always very funny without ever compromising the drama. Perfect for Dr Who.

b(12)
I didn't like the part where the doctor regenerated. He will be greatly missed.

Sweeper128
WOW!! I've been thinking about how the Daleks could get out of this one. Possibly a rift in space/time continuum will bridge the way from an alterate Universe where the Doctor has to stop the time devils from the "Father's Day" Episode. Here's to another great Time Lord!!! And EX-TER-MIN-ATE!!!!! Sweeper128 (14)

Martin P
What a series!!! AMAZING! CAN'T believe Chris has left, and glad they wrote his ending well. It fitted in with the Series and story arch. Had some very moving bits in, like when the Dr sent Rose home. The look on his face! Looking forward to the next series, but wont be the same without Chris. "You know what, So was I" was fitting as his last words. He WAS FANTASTIC!

Ian
Everybody I know who have watched the revamp have loved it. The kids in the street are exterminating there friends. It's good to see my favourite childhood programe doing so well again. Top actor is Christopher Eccleston sadly will be missed. Good Luck to David Tennant another great choice. Pleased Billie staying on. Bring back Capt Jack what a great character. Quality.

Sara (34)
Enjoyed Dr Who as a child, didn't really know what to expect from new series but wow, it was "fantastic"! Having a gorgeous 9th Dr certainly helped keep me interested and the kiss at the end satisfied the romantic in me! But it was brilliant on so many other levels I could go on and on ...... Well done to all involved!!!!

Adam (12)
I loved the whole episode especialy when the Daleks kept saying things like "DO NOT BLASPHEME! DO NOT BLASHPHEME!

Sam
that was v. cool indeed. But where was Davros? honestly. But that was still a good idea bringing back the emperor, all the way from good old Pat's time. The Christmas invasion had better be Cybermen! that or the Master...

alan christian
All i can say is that it has been stunning. I did have doubts as to whether or not they could pull it off. The best thing is that they have moved it forward while keeping to the spirit of the earlier series. Shame it's finished as there is now nothing to watch on Saturday night once more.

Shamariah (11) No. 1 Dr. Who Fan
COME BACK CHRIS! You are my first doctor and always be my favourite. I was really disappointed when the new doctor was introduced. Can you come back for some other series maybe? You are the best actor ever and thank-you for a great series. (I'm glad Billie is going to continue)

Vince (38)
Ok people, time to get a grip... Kisses are not always sexual!!!! How many parents kiss their children goodnight? Does that make it easier to understand...DOH!!!

megan walker
brilliant fantastic everything good really .I do not like the 10th doctor I like the 9th.

Neil M
Well, the scene was set for an epic ending to a truly stunning series.....and it did not dissapoint. It was cinematic in presentation and scope and worthy of any multiplex. Saturdays are going to be much less exciting between now and Christmas as it really was the ride of a lifetime!I had a tear in my eye when Chris said his goodbyes to Billie in the Tardis, he will be so sorely missed. I may be 41 but I can't wait for the new line of Dr Who toys this Christmas!!

Jade 11
I loved it! It was sad when the doctor sent Rose home, but I think it was fantasticly moving when she came back and he almost died to save her. Roll on christmas!!

Ian
So sad when Lynda with a Y was killed, I liked her. And i was shocked whe the Dr tricked Rose. Cant wait for the new series!

Liane
I have just one word to say about this...Fantastic! This was a superb ending to the current series and it will be grately missed. I will miss Eccleston playing the Doctor of course but I am sure Tennant will do just as well. My favourite line from this episode? Hmmm "you look like you need a doctor" as he kisses Rose. Out of the ashes rose the green eyed monster needless to say! Fantastic!!

Lambie(13)
Wow never seen so many Daleks in my life and im very sad to see chris leave after being such a good doctor. However look forward to David in the Future... Ps The website has been brilliant!!!

Lucie
Brilliant! So moving. I welled up when the Doctor tricked Rose into going home and then cried through the rest of it! At the end I found myself shouting at the TV 'come back Chris!'. Christopher Eccleston made Doctor Who for me. He will be missed. I'm looking forward to seeing how Rose reacts to this change!

Josh(12)
I thought that the last episode was the best one yet and I am very looking foreward to the christmas invasion but is it true that the daleks are in it again if so fantastic!

Darren
wow, that was such a good episode - its a shame christopher eccleson isnt the doctor anymore - but at the same time kinda good. also - i was just thinking - wouldn't it be FANTASTIC if the dr. was real!

lewi
best programme EVER on tv,effects and acting amazing,BAD WOLF kept me guessing right up to the end!

Amy 13
It was brilliant, i loved the way how the doctor changed at the end. I can't believe that Christopher Eccleston is going, he was a brilliant doctor, and worked really well with Rose. I can't believe they just left captain Jack behind though, I want to know what happened to him. Best episode yet!!

Jakob
Mega wiky!

Christopher Emmett
This series was brilliant and so was the last eppisode, im realy going to miss the 9th docter and hope that the 10th one is also a good docter.

Michael
I've always liked Dr Who but I've LOVED The Daleks. Christopher eccleston's portrayal of The Doctor has been excellent. He shall be missed!!

Neil
WOW!!! what a fantastic end to a fantastic series!!! Did not expect Rose to be Bad Wolf at all. The Daleks, the atmosphere the tension everything just brilliant. I have to admit i cried a little too. Do we really have to wait until christmas & March 2006 for new series? Christopher Ecclestone did an excellent job. I think David Tennent will be just as good. "Now where was i? Ah yes Barcelona"!

Dave
I was more concerned with Captain Jack. Bring Back Captain Jack!!!!!!!! Please. Really looking forward to the New Doctor. I can't wait for the TARDIS DVD boxed set in November. I want it now.

Stuart Smith
Uterly amazing and fantastic and what a sad ending and that ignorent guy that said there's no such thing as daleks lol they sure showed him... ...*Exterminate!!* thank god for Dr Who?

Tim
Poor old Captain Jack being left behind at the end, I hope they decide to bring him back in the next series, such a great companion.

bethany
it was sooo sad when rose was sent back and when captin jack left to go and fight. the best bit was when the doctor FINALY kissed rose like they wanted to all the time!! it was soo sweet when rose took the tardis into her and when she said that her head was killing her and the docotr put his life on the line to save the girl he loved! its sad that the christopher left i relly liked him as the doctor but im sure that the next doctor will be just as good!!

Amy (14)
I'll agree with the doctor on this one: He was fantastic and i think Christopher Ecclestone gave a superb performance along with Billie Piper. The whole series was brilliant but i especially loved the last episode. My friend and i sat watching it together screamed when dearest old Jack was 'exterminated' and cried when the doctor gave his life for Rose, and all the other sad hearty bits. What can i say! We love Doctor Who and cant wait for his Return!

Nikky
when are the re runs gonna be on???we cant last till crimble

Matthew, 13
Am dying (excuse terrible pun) to know what happens to Captain Jack after the Doctor and Rose leave him behind. Very gripping stuff - watched it twice! Agree with Charlotte - will miss Christopher Eccleston. Hope David Tennant is as good!!

Verity (14)
the episode was just fantastic as the doctor would say! it fit in very well, and I can't believe Rose and the doctor kissed! But it's sad that they left captain jack behind... still... great!!

Steamhead
Got to say Russell T Davies has done a fantastic job reviving a series I thought had long run out of regenerations. Then he gets the Doctor to regenerate standing up - a poetic first.

Pete
Really really got i loved the wholle serries. the funnies bit for be was whe the ann-drode blow up Ha HA I loved the bit when the Dalek exterminated Captin jack Exterminate!

Freya (12)
brilliant! what i didn't get was whay did rose put bad wolf. why not: rose go forward in time? i have no idea what im going to do an saturday evenings now. did you notice the "new" doctor said: im Cas...whaere was i? oh yes! Barcelona! in school we are doing branching storie web sites in IT and mine is a doctor who one!

Pete
Really really got i loved the wholle serries. the funnies bit for be was whe the ann-drode blow up Ha HA

legolas(13)
Great! the best one of the lot!

?
in the christmas invasion does christms invade or earth or sumink?

Stacey (9)
The episode was great Iloved it. But I couldn't bare it when Chris made a cheating death & the new doctor (David Tennant) came on, I started to cry because I will miss him so much.No one can replace old Chris.

grace (12)
i thought this was great and can't wait till christmas(for more than 1 reason!)it's a pitt chris is going, but i'm sure david tennant will be able to pull it of! it was full og fun, thrills and fear- totally brill!!!!!

Dobbo (14)
I think the new dr whos are great. as a fan of chistopher Ecceston's great ability to act this part, i too was dissapointed that he was replaced. but a loved all the episodes and because of the story line, i wont let the actor changing get in the way of me watching future siries. ITS GREAT!!!!

Daniel Wray
The episode was fantastic! Scary, funny, and just EXECELENT! Especially when the anne-bot zapped the dalek!

Sianie
I Agree with sam it was great when they all kissed each other :)

Lou
The episode was totally fantastic and a hot topic of discussion in school today. I think it was so great to finish on a funny moment after all the warring daleks and emotions of the previous moments. I just cant wait for the next series and i hope it's as great as this one was. Thanks to this ending i now have every faith that the 10th doctor will be just as good as the 9th. BARCELONA!!! Roll on December for 'the christmas invation'

Omar
I think the last episode was BRILL but it was a bit unexpected when the daleks killed Jack and Lynda.

Aled Seago (16)
This new series introduced me into the facinating world of the doctor, and I'm hooked! So sad that Christopher Eccleston has handed over the TARDIS. He was my first doctor, and he will always remain, for me, the best doctor ever. I have high hopes for David Tennant, but nobody can match Christopher Eccleston's fabulous and memorable performance. I will also miss Billie Piper too, when she leaves, a great actress and very attractive. Love the show, love the website, love Doctor Who!!!!!!!

jess,10
i love doctor who and i want my own tardis.

cheeky monkey
What a fantastic episode and series. A fantastic job done by all the cast and crew. christopher eccleston is the best doctor ever and i dont think no one else can do as good a job as him. Going to miss him big time!!

Ems
Fantastic series - the new doctor wont be the same as christopher eccleston though! Me and my mates have been arguing - was bad wolf Rose or the Tardis/time vortex?? Someone please tell me so we can agree for once! Thanks.

John (13)
i think that David Tennat will be great! But we will all miss Chris but i am really happy Billie is staying it wouldn't be right without her! But Christmas better come quick because i can't wait for it! QUICK QUICK TICK TOCK TICK TOCK AHHHHHHH

Ruth Miles
WOW if there was a word that describes that series then i would like to know cause wow is about as close as you can get but still a long way off from describing it. How am i going to cope until the next series? my saturday nights will be compltly empty. bother.

anna
i love Jack!!

Amarvi
Argh that was amazing!! i can't believe they left Jack behind, after all that! Hope he turns up again in the next series? Christopher Eccleston was an amazing dr, are you sure we can't convince him to come back? I loved the Bad Wolf twist too! ...At the end of the programme i had to go and sit in a dark room, just to think about it all!...

molly no1 doctr fan
i loved this series and think rose is way cool. the gas mask episode was scary but this was the most gripping one! i cried when jack died. but laughed when he woke up. the new dr will be gr8 i'm sure

DJ who
The 9th doctor series has been fantastic. Ive loved it since episode one. The regeneration scene brilliant and who would have guessed that rose was bad wolf. I was a bit shocked when jack kissed the doctor.

Orlando (classic who freak)
This episode weeks episode was fantastic I loved the old dalek control room noise and I can't wait for the return of the cybermen in the next series, thanks BBC.

dave, 14
I thought that when Rose took in the Light of the Tardis it was a really powerful moment as she was almost like an angel rescuing the Doctor!! I wish Lynda-with-a-Y hadn't died. And finally The Doctor and Rose kissed (!!)

Alex (13)
For my English work at school, I had to come up with a character for a story. so what did I do, I wrote about a Dalek. we had to write about different qualities about my character and here are my three favourite questions and answers: Q. What does your character look like? A. A giant squid with a big eye and a brain. Q. How does your character get around? A. In a big gold, armed to the teeth pepper pot. Q. Who does your character hate the most? A. The Doctor (I don't think my teacher gets it)

Laura (13)
It was a great episode but it was really sad when they left Captain Jack behind. I hope they go and get him again!

Olivia (12)
It was soooo sad i almost cried. I am going to miss christopher eccleston but i think that the new could be as good.....

Fish
The last episode was the best yet. I was sad to see that they left Jack behind but I like the new doctor's attitude and his humour! The Anne-Droid and the Daleks were funny and scary- I was laughing at the "WORSHIP HIM! WORSHIP HIM!" part.

Jonathan C
It was amazing. Only 12 but lovin it lovin it lovin it!!!

Martin Walker
A brilliant episode in a classic season of Dr Who Two things... I tried to explain all the Bad Wolf stuff to an 11 year old and failed - help! If anyone can explain why Rose is the Bad Wolf and how she foiled the Daleks - in words my kid can understand - I'd be grateful. As for the gay kiss... If it is OK for straight kisses while kids are watching then its OK for gay kisses. Else its just homophobia. To think that they used to talk about the Inter racial Kiss in that classic Star Trek episode in the same terms.... Anyway, well done to RTD and everyone involved. Nice job. Doctor Who is back!

Joe (39 and lifelong Dr Who fan)
This without doubt is the finest series the BBC has produced in many, mnay years. I now have a 5 year old girl and a 3 year old boy, and watching them getting excited, laughing and safely scared over the past weeks has been a joy - the first thing on TV that has ever persuaded them to get into their pyjamas in time for bed!...well done to all of the crew and cast, you really have produced something that restores the BBC as something special in the nation's life and a vindication of public sector broadcasting...(oh, by the way, if Christopher thought he would avoid being typecast by only doing one series, he's failed utterly by being so completely brilliant as the best Doctor with the best assistant since Tom Baker)....

Gary
Fantastic!! Can we have christmas in July? Thank you BBC, Doctor - 1 Darleks - 0

Nick
Is it safe to come out from the sofa yet?

Lucy
I thought the episode was great. It was a bit sad when Captain Jack got exterminated though.I wonder what adventures Doctor Who will have in the next series!Maybe there is cybermen, and maybe they might even go to Barcelona!

Berry
i always thought my parents were joking about how scary Dr who was but i will admite for the first time ever they were telling the truth. please save captin jack as he was a fab characture and he will be missed in my house.

c.m
i was really upset and i wish they would go and get Jack can't wait till next series

Patricia
I thought that it was really cool the way they regenarated the Doctor, and it was sooo romantic when the Doctor and rose kissed.altogether though the ninth Doctor was 'Fantastic'!!!

Kaz (34 and a half)
I can't believe it's over until Chrimble. Oh, how they torture us! Loved it to pieces, and I'm happy to give the new Doctor a fair crack of the whip - but I will miss Christopher Eccleston very badly.

joseph
Brilliant ephisode!!!!! I wonder what will happen to Cptain jack,m looking forward to next series!

SamDaMan
It would be a great idea to have a doctor who movie!

Catriona (18)
I was hooked on the whole series and this was a very fitting end to a great Dr aka Christopher Eccleston. You did yourself proud Chris and you will be sorely missed. But remember it was all worth it cause you got to kiss Rose in the end. :D

Karen
Stunning finale. Eccleston has made his mark as the Dr. A hard act to follow but looking forward to seeing how the new guy shapes.

Lind
Best television I've ever seen. I'll be honest and admit I was crying from beginning to end and then some more afterwards. It was witty, scary, clever, sad, moving and perfect! Chris will be missed he is a phenomenal actor as is Billie and John Barrowman. Loved it!

John - Tyne & Wear
This has been an excellent series. Brilliant Photograhy, Wonderful Special Effects, Amazing Acting and just marvelous srcipts. Well Done BBC Wales ! Can't wait for Christmas !

Sue
Yes Doctor - you were "fantastic". Great series - thank you all for staying true to Dr Who and giving us all some excellent Saturday evening TV at last! Good luck with the new series.

Nic
Why was Jack left behind? Apart from that it was a exelent episode.

Debbie
Doctor Who is the most amazing thing I have ever seen! Totally fulfilled my expecations from start to finish. I hope Captain Jack finds Rose and the new doctor again. I am sad to see Christopher Eccleston go though :( I don't thinks anyone can be as good as him!

Kirsty, 12
I was so sad that Christopher Eccleston left! He was brilliant! He is my hro, and I am a massive fan of him! I also like Billie Piper! Good luck to David Tennant, though!

Charlotte.12
I was in tears through the whole thing. As a big Christopher Eccleston fan it'll feel wierd having David Tennant as doctor Who. I am Doctor whos biggest fan. I thought it was really upsetting when the daleks killed Lynda with a y boo hoo.

Kirsty, 12
I was so sad when Christopher Eccleston decided to leave, and the very end of the last series made me cry! I love Doctor Who, and am a massive fan!

Sally
I thought this episode was heartbreaking. And aww, even the TARDIS loves the Doctor.

Daniel Hughes
What a great episode and a great ending to the first series - with a traditional regeneration and a confrontation with an old enemy.

Dan
Can't wait until the Chrstmas Invasion and series 2 where Jack comes back!

thérésa
Who DIDN'T cry?!

Ian (35)
Thought the whole season has been fantastic, hoped that Rose brought back Lynda with a "Y" (the Doctor said she would live if she went with him). Seeing your first regeneration is always quite a shock. I remember when I was 5 and saw Jon Pertwee change into Tom Baker thinking "Noooooo!" you'll be right at home with David Tennant after one or two stories I'm sure

Jan
Quite brilliant! Will miss Chris so much though but looking forward to Christmas for the first time in years!! Well done everyone involved. (PS: Any chance Rose brought everyone back to life on Satellite 5 - including Lynda?)

Thomas Tyrrell
My least favourite of the series so far. Honestly, the kissing! It's worse than the TV movie. Far too grim and emotional and far too few jokes. Plus, why go to all the trouble of reviving Captain Jack (my favourite companion) just to strand him on an abandoned space station orbiting a melted earth? It is good in places, but to my mind this has about the same problems as The Return of the King. It's a worthy end to a fantastic series, and very well done - but not something you'd really want to watch twice.

David Farmbrough
We all watched this as a family - twenty of us! From my three year old son to my seventy-three year old father we were all amazed, entertained, and delighted by this last episode...but we'll miss the Ninth Doctor and his cheeky grin.

Dad
well done Aunty Beeb, this is currently the best show on the box, i watch it with my six year old son who has become a Dr Who fanatic (like his Dad has been for years) Thanks!

Molly Davis
I sarted blubering when Rose got sent away and whan she saw the holagram of the Dr, it was embarssing because my neighbor was at my house. When it was over I called my best friend and managed to tell her about the whole episode in one breath and without her understanding me at all.

Jay
I found Lynda's death distressing. I honestly believed she would survive - the Doctor promised to save her life and I trusted him... but he lied...

Aled, 14
It was definately the most excitingly-scary episode of the series! The regeneration was perfect! But I have one question - what accent does the 10th Doctor have?!

Lauren (16)
i'm a massive buffy fan and i never thought an english series could have better special effects than an american show with an american budget. all i can say is well done to the cast and crew of dr who and well done to the bbc for bringing it back! the new series has been fantastic and as someone who had never watched the old series, it got me hooked and impressed me no end. im glad that dr who stayed true to its roots and stayed an english show with (mostly) english actors!!! this episode had such a fantastic ending i was crying my eyes out!!! david tennant seems like hes going to be just as mad and just as "BRILLIANT" as Christopher Eccleston. LONG LIVE DR WHO!!!!!!

John
Dr Who has been excellent, sad and funny, exciting and tense. My three kids sat with me and my wife every week to watch, thanks BBC, just wish we had a TARDIS to shoot forward to see the christmas episode

Charlie (17)
Wow...what can I say? Fantastic end to the series, and so moving...I was in floods of tears (Ok, I may be a little too into this series) by the end. I thought the regeneration was different, but it felt more personal and it was such a nice touch to have him give his life for Rose. David Tennant has a lot to live up to, but I'm sure he'll be capable of it. Good luck to him.

Darren
I cried. I've had hairs stand up on the back of my neck before. But never have I actually cried when the Doctor regenerates. Utterly, utterly brilliant! I can't stop replaying it!!

lauren (15)
altho ALL of my friends are calling me weird I LOVED it extremely happy when dr FINALLY kissed rose even though it wasnt passion filled...im gonna miss christopher eccleston tho :( can tenant ever be as good as he was...?

Paul
I wish it never ended but can carry on and on and on and on and on and......well you know.

Laura
I'm gonna miss Christopher Eccleston so much :( Best Doctor ever!!

Margaret McGroarty
Great ending to a great series Roll on Christmas invasion and to the new doctor

danny (16)
brilliant loved it but im now sad as i have to wait until december to see another episode (begins crying alot)

Faye
This was a brilliant episode that kept me on the edge of my seat. I loved the part when Rose came out of the Tardis and there was the gold light everywhere - she looked like an angel. The music was beautiful and perfect for that moment. Well done to the composer and everyone!

Andrew C (13)
Definitely one of the best, the Daleks have to be my favourite enemies EVER! Shame to see Christopher Ecclestone go, he's my favourite doctor, and I hope that the next will be as good. For the next series, please please please let the Daleks win, just for once!!!

Ellie (13)
I almost cried,it was soooo sad, I loved it when The doctor kisses Rose, like he should have all along, but kissing a two hearted, 900 year old Time Lord?? But I would kiss the new doctor, ha ha ha!

John (9)
Episode 13 was fantastic. One of the funny bits is when the Anne droid blasts three Daleks and then a Dalek blasts it back!

Megan (10)
This is the best programme ever I can't wait until the second series I would give it 10/10 ! I wish I could be in Doctor Who.

I have just watched the episode! It was a great episode, but I have to agree with kieron-It was a little disturbing when all the people (including captain jack)died. "wowwwwwww!!!!!!!" just about sums it up!

rob
Fantastic episode. The scene on floor zero when the daleks killed the civillians was very chilling! It shows how heartless they really are!

I found some of the episodes frightening but then I scare easily! Christopher Eccleston was incredible and I'm really sad that he has gone. I am dying to know what has happened to captain jack, rose, mickey and roses mum and i hope that they will be in the next series!

I never liked Doctor Who until the new series came out and it was great, it The best programme on the television infact! The last episode was the best and i have watched it five times!!! i am going to miss Christopher Eccleston as the doctor. I shed a few tears when emergency programme 1 was started and at the end. CANT WAIT UNTIL CHRISTMAS!!!!!!

Kim
This was the perfect end to the greatest BBC Series of the year. I'm relieved that there's a Christmas special - I would have teared all my hair out in fury if I had to wait until next March for more Dr. Who. Looking forward to David Tennant as the Doctor, but Christopher Eccelston will be sadly missed. They are going back to get Jack though, aren't they? AREN'T THEY?

I was just telling my brother that it's not actually scary, just tense, when the Daleks rose in front of the window and killed Lynda. That gave me a shock

Chazz
GREAT! I just loved the episode!

This was by far the best episode! I can't wait for the next Doctor Who series.

Mum
It was so sad when the dr sent rose home, i cried and also when jack said goodbye to them both, i cried and also when the dr regenerated, i cried then too. we will miss you dr.

Adam Cooper
The episode was fantastic. The Daleks are the best Docter Who enemies ever. The scariest moment for me when when the Daleks hovered outside the space station window. The funniest moment was when Rose's mum asked what they sell at a new pizza resturant. The saddest part was when the Doctor was surrounded by several Daleks and all is hopeless (until the Tardis arived). The most exciting bit was when the Doctor started to change. All I have to say for the ending is, "Barcelona it is then."

Eli
I thought that this ninth doctor who series is the best. I am really sad that Christopher Eccleston is leaving - I'll always think of him as The Doctor. I think Doctor Who can be really scary, but not in a bad way, in a way that gets you really excited and waiting for the next bit. I love the show loads!

The new doctor is hot he better not change. I was sad when they left Jack behind coz he was the nicest looking one then at the end we get a cool new doctor. Christmas better come quick.

Charlotte
A great episode. On edge the whole way, i never knew how it was going to end. I am going to miss Christopher Eccleston

Ashley Parkes (11)
This was the best 1 ever. And plus seeing doctor who again is like a christmas present. I'm confused though was Rose the bad wolf or was it the Tardis when it went in her?

Robyn(13)
It was sooo good! i will miss it until the next series! cant wait to see what david tennants dr is like!

Kitty
Wow. Speechless. How will I survive without the Doctor until Christmas??? Plus I hope the 10th Doctor will be as good as the 9th, if that is possible!

As a Christopher Eccleston-as-the-Doctor fan, I was of course disappointed when the new Doctor was introduced... The episode was fantastic (hehe) and I was hooked till the very very end, I couldn't believe the way it came together - Brilliant Work!!

Kieron (14)
This episode was fantastic but a little disturbing when captain jack and the others died. Great regeneration scene though!
