(0) the Doctor's found a way to get Martha back home, and he's found her knickers too. Amy's not amused.
(1) "This isn't the last one with Martha in, is it?" asks Harry "it's only been three episodes, and it's the end for her," confirms Samuel glumly. the Doctor disappears in the TARDIS, and the whole family say: "Awwwww!"
(2) But the Doctor's back again! Family: "Hurraaaah!" Adam ponders wickedly: "I wonder if he was actually away for a whole week before he realised?"
(3) Our first sight of Lazarus. "Wow, he's really old," gasps Samuel, "and even wrinklier than grandad."
(4) The kids exchange a knowing glance as Mr Saxon is mentioned again. Mum winces as Lazarus kisses Tish. "He's a flirt," says Samuel.
(5) "What kind of nibbles are they?" wonders Harry, licking his lips. Samuel groans with hunger.
(6) Smiles of recognition for Martha saying: "He's my plus one." "I like him in that DJ," smiles Mum. "Why's she cuddling her Mum?" asks Harry. Dad explains. "But why isn't she cuddling her sister and Leo too, then? Harry insists.
(7) Mum and Dad laugh at the Doctor's flimsy explanation the night before. "Run for it!" Adam laughs. "She only saw her Mum last night," Samuel realises. "That happens a lot in this programme," notes Adam.
(8 ) The experiment's underway. "I wonder what monsters are in this one?" murmurs Harry to himself. "It looks like a theme park ride," observes Adam admiringly. "I'd want a go on that" Samuel agrees with him: "It's like the beginning of Spider-Man 2, with Dr Octopus."
(9) Lazarus reborn! Amy looks on in wonder. He has changed what it means to be human. "Like that Dalek!" shouts Samuel.
(10) Amy jumps, as Lazarus gets a pain in the neck. Samuel stares enviously as Lazarus scoffs lots of food.
(11) the Doctor confronts Lazarus, and Amy repositions herself much closer to Mum on the sofa.
(13) Harry curls his lip as Lazarus kisses Lady Shaw. "That looks really strange," agrees Samuel. "And now that he's young again, he doesn't fancy older women."
(14) Pay attention, it's the science bit... the Doctor explains everything to Martha. "Blah blah blah blah," says Samuel. Adam looks at him disapprovingly.
(15) Amy clutches Mum tightly. There's something very wrong with Lazarus. "I think he's growing a long neck to become a Krillitane!" suggests Harry. And then... "Run away! Waaaaah!" Mum: "Eurrgh!" Samuel: "Woooahh!" Adam: "Oh dear!"
(16) Lazarus steers Tish away from the party. "Oh nooooo!" wails Samuel. "Don't go!"
(17) Lady Shaw's corpse is discovered, to looks of horror from the kids. the Doctor says it's like a freshly-squeezed orange. "Yuk," says Adam.
(18) Harry examines Mrs Jones' confidant warily. "There's something suspicious about that man," he wisely concludes.
(19) Tish is being shown the view from the roof. Amy fixes Lazarus with her hardest, meanest stare. "There's always something to surprise you," Lazarus says. "You're telling me," says Samuel.
(21) "He's a monster," Martha tells the incredulous Tish. Tish is cross. Lazarus transforms. "Now do you believe your sister?" asks Samuel. "That's disgusting!" shouts Harry. Amy looks on, mouth agape. Mum's aghast as Lazarus's face leers at our heroes. "Don't worry, Mum," Adam reassures her, "it won't fit in that lift."
(22) "The biggest danger is choking on an olive," sneers one of the party girls. The Lazarus monster springs into view. "He'll be choking on you in a minute," Samuel admonishes her.
The Lazarus monster fascinates the children, and they try to work out what it is: "A dinosaur! No, it's a skeleton! And it's got a tail like a scorpion... it's Dr Scorpion! And... aaagh! ewww! uugh!" Further discussion is curtailed when the creature pounces...
(23) ... and there's another corpse as the party girl is chomped! "Warned you," Samuel says sadly. Amy fiddles with her hair nervously, then shuts her eyes tightly.
(24) Lazarus hunts the Doctor. "How did it get down the stairs?" worries Adam, until his science revision seems to pay off: "Ooh! Perhaps it can change its mass?" Harry, meanwhile, is ready, if necessary, to make a run for the door. Amy has cleverly managed to cover her ears with her thumbs and her eyes with her forefingers.
(25) Lazarus is upside down. Harry begins to run, then checks himself.
(26) Lazarus stalks the Doctor through the darkness. All the children watch in tense, silent fascination. Martha returns for the Doctor, and they look hopeful. But the Doctor's in the laboratory: "He's opening the gas taps," Adam points out. "That's a bit dangerous..."
He's swiftly proved right as an electrical spark from the switch ignites the gas. "Hurrah!" the children cheer. But then... "Oh no! It's still alive!"
(27) The mysterious man is talking to Mrs Jones again. "Who is he?" demands Harry.
(28) They're trapped! Harry's a little more relaxed now, as the Doctor has both Martha and his sonic screwdriver to help him. Does the Doctor have a plan? "Hey, Martha knows how to use your sonic screwdriver," Samuel reminds him. Amy peeks out from behind her fingers.
(29) Zap! "Cool!" shouts Harry, punching the air as the monster goes down. the Doctor's reversed the polarity, and Dad gives a little cheer. "Why's that important, Dad?" asks Samuel.
(30) Harry prods his sister: "Look Amy, a naked man!". "Where?" asks Amy, and immediately removes her hands from her face.
(31) Outside on the pavement, the Doctor gets a slap from Martha's mum. "Haha!" grins Adam, "they all do that to him." The kids are starting to relax until) crunch! "What was that?" asks Harry. Amy tenses again.
(32) In the Cathedral. Amy's taking no chances and runs over to watch the rest of the episode from the doorway. "So, how does sanctuary work, then?" puzzles Adam. "You'd have to find somewhere else every Sunday."
(33) Lazarus remembers the past. Amy covers her eyes and ears again, expecting the worst. Lazarus's neck cracks, and Samuel winces in anticipation.
(35) Samuel looks nervous as Lazarus chases Martha and Tish up the stairs. "Man-in-blanket isn't all that scary," Adam reassures him. But there's another great big crack and a roar as Lazarus mutates, and Adam suddenly doesn't look so sure any more.
(36) the Doctor realises what he can do with hypersonic sound waves. "Hey, the organ's got a handy hole for his sonic screwdriver!" notes Adam.
(37) It's all too exciting again! Brave Harry fiddles with his fingers nervously as Lazarus tries to eat the girls! The parents grin when the Doctor turns things up to 11.
(38) "He's naked again!" calls Harry. "Another nudey shot," agrees Samuel. But Amy's not falling for that one again, and remains by the doorway, glancing only occasionally at the screen.
(39) "He's dead, but his eyes are open," Samuel notes. the Doctor closes Lazarus's eyes. "Just like Martha would have done," observes Adam. There's an audible sigh of relief from Harry as he realises that the danger is finally over. Amy rejoins the family on the sofa.
(40) the Doctor and Martha joke about playing Beethoven loud, and Mum and Dad laugh merrily, to the kids' bemusement.
(41) Martha says she doesn't want "one more trip". The kids look surprised. And then when the Doctor agrees to leave her behind, they gasp in dismay. "It really is the end of her!" wails Samuel. But it's all just a big misunderstanding. Cheers and huge grins from the entire family.
(42) "Saxon is the Doctor's enemy!" shouts Harry. "The Doctor must meet him in the future, like Queen Elizabeth, and upset him. Because he hasn't met him yet, has he?"
