 Adam (13)

(1) Harry's excited from the start - he recognises the scene from the trailers. "Great! It's the one with the creepy robots!" The Girl in the Fireplace calls for the Doctor. Adam wonders, "Did she meet an earlier version of him?"
(3) Amy smiles as the Doctor befriends the little Reinette, and the technobabble-friendly "magic door" comment makes Adam laugh.
(5) Tick-tock tick-tock. "Ok, that's scary" says the Doctor. Amy is suddenly very concerned. Harry gapes at the screen. "It's really weird!" declares Samuel. "Like that broken phone that could still ring, remember?"
(6) There's a monster under the bed and everyone jumps! Amy grips her Dad tightly - that was very, very scary indeed! Adam grabs Samuel's arm. "Gerroff!" mutters Samuel nervously, so Adam reaches out for his Mum's hand instead and slowly crushes it throughout the rest of the scene.
(8) Cheers from Samuel and Adam for the fire extinguisher, and a big laugh from Harry when the Doctor describes the clockwork man as "gorgeous".
(10) Goodness, how Reinette has grown. "She's really old now," ponders Samuel, "she must be about 20." Mum and Dad mutter.
(11) The kiss! "Now that was a snog!" declares Samuel with delight. Harry grimaces and hides behind a cushion: "Urrrgh! Yuk!" Amy is delighted by her brother's discomfort and points happily at the screen.
(12) Most of the group giggle at the appearance of Arthur the horse, but Adam is incredulous at the whole idea of a horse on a spaceship.
(13) Amy is revolted by the eyeball on a stalk, and hurries back to the distraction of her toy box. Samuel is amused by Mickey's "You lookin' at me?" comment, but is much less thrilled by the thing in the hatchway - a human heart. Amy's aghast and climbs into her toybox.
(14) Arthur the horse whinnies at the Doctor. "I thought that the TARDIS translated all languages," grumbles Samuel. "That should include horses." "He has a point..." concedes Dad.
(15) Samuel laughs at the Doctor as he lurks behind a wall: "He's got a crush on the Queen. Like Dad and Sarah Jane." "He has a point..." concedes Mum.
(18) Rose: "You're not keeping the horse!" Doctor: "I let you keep Mickey!" This gets a huge laugh from Adam.
(19) Mickey and Rose are attacked! Harry runs back to the sofa. Amy has managed to close the lid of her toybox and peeks out from within.
(22) Rose and Mickey are trapped - but then the Doctor arrives to rescue them, and Amy cautiously lifts the lid of her toybox hiding place. "He's definitely drunk," decides Samuel, as the Doctor slurs his banana daiquiri story.
(27) "Oh no!" Samuel sees Reinette boarding the space ship and hearing her own voice. Reinette's very afraid. "She should be," says Samuel, "she's seen her future."
(29) Attack at the party! "Here we go again," says Samuel. "Eww! We heard that chop, but we didn't see it." Amy shuts the lid of her toybox once more.
(32) The Doctor bursts through the mirror on horseback! "Oh, wow!" says Adam. The cheers from everybody else brings Amy back onto the sofa. The Doctor winks. Samuel grins. Mum swoons.
(33) "It's impossible for him to get back," Samuel realises glumly. "I'm not winding you up," the Doctor tells the droid, at which Adam groans loudly.
(37) Reinette takes the Doctor to her fireplace. Adam is excited when he tells her to "pick any star". But Samuel has realised something: "No! That's stupid! Remember what happened last time! It took months!"
(38) The Doctor returns to France. "Where's the lady gone?" asks a disappointed Amy. Samuel's worst fears are being realised: "It's been years!" The King says: "You know how women are." "I don't," grumbles Samuel. We learn that Reinette died at 43. Samuel looks heartbroken: "He's too late..."
(42) The Doctor sadly reads the letter. Harry however seems somewhat relieved that there won't be any more girls aboard the TARDIS.
(44) We see the outside of the ship again. "It was the SS Mme de Pompadour!" says Adam, very impressed. "But where was Torchwood this week?" Samuel can explain: "This was beforehand. Queen Victoria introduced it. And that was Scotland, not France."
