THIS WEEK'S QUOTE: "Two dead-and it's still only Round 1!""
(1) Precredits: "Ooh, I remember this!" says Samuel. "One hundred years later!" Big numbers have the power to amaze Harry. "Oooh, we haven't seen this bit." Amy is confused "What is this, where is he?""
(2) Adam and Samuel are amazed when the Doctor enters the diary room. Samuel gives a big grin when Davina-droid says "Live on Channel 44,000, please do not swear." Adam says: "Why?"
(3) Harry's confused, too. Neither are familiar with the real versions of the shows featured. "Has the Doctor landed in a different place?" Samuel is amused by the game shows. "This seems so familiar," he says. And there's a huge laugh when the Ann-Droid appears.
(4) "This is going to have the Big Bad Wolf and little Piggies in," Harry advises his sister.
(5) Captain Jack's naked, but "You can't see his bum," says Samuel. His mum seems more disappointed about this. Everyone laughs when Jack says "Your viewing figures just went up." Amy is surprised and delighted. She thinks it's hilarious.
(6) Big smiles from Samuel and Adam as the Doctor tells his new friend "Everybody thinks you're sweet-dead sweet." And who says Big Brother isn't educational? Samuel: "I didn't know you could spell Lynda with a Y."
(7) TARDIS flashback: Adam and Samuel are astounded. Samuel's getting mathematical: "Fifteen million times? How can it be that powerful?" But the Doctor's now warning someone through the camera lens: "Who is he then?" ponders Samuel.
(8) Adam's enjoying "The Weakest Link". Samuel's trying to answer the questions, and maths is still his forte: "258 minus 158? That's eeaaasy!"
(9) Adam and Samuel are all smiles at "President Schwarzenegger", shocked at the "cutting edge" chainsaw, and baffled by "peroxide".
(10 Chainsaw moment. Harry realises the danger "Uh oh!". Amy doesn't realise the implications. "Are they going to take his clothes off again?" she asks, hopefully.
(11) "Uh-oh!" says Samuel as the weakest link is eliminated. "Hang on, one of them's called Fitch. There's a Fitch in 'The Invisible Detective' Books!" "Not the same one," dad reassures him. But then another contestant is gunned down by the Ann-Droid. "Two dead-and it's still only Round 1!" gasps Samuel.
(12) Events take a sinister turn. Harry and Amy cuddle up to their parents and watch in silence for the next few minutes.
(13) "We're going to get you," says Davina-droid to Crosby. "And we know why!" says Adam, who's worked it out now.
(14) Adam and Samuel are solemn and thoughtful as the Big Brother eviction takes place. Until Adam spots something in the set: "Why is there a galaxy in the middle of the Big Brother eye?"
(15) "Why is she wired up?" wonders Adam as the Controller appears.
(16) Adam is much amused by the way the Doctor gets himself forcibly evicted.
(17) Guffaws from Adam and Samuel as Captain Jack produces his Compact Laser Deluxe. Where was he hiding that? "Maybe that's why we couldn't see his bum," suggests Adam. "Ouch," says his dad.
(18) The Bad Wolf Corporation is revealed to Rose... and Adam and Samuel are fascinated by the flashbacks. "I remember some more!" Samuel says. Adam shushes him before he can explain in detail.
(19) A tense moment as the evicted Doctor faces his eviction countdown... and survives! The Doctor encourages Lynda-with-a-Y to leave the house because she's the sweet one, and they never win Big Brother. "Well, I'd vote for sweet people," says Adam, but then adds thoughtfully: "if I didn't want them to die."
(20) "This is Satellite 5" announces the Doctor. "Yesss!" shouts Harry. "I knew it!"
(21) Lynda learns that the Doctor's older than he looks. "I moisturise," he tells her. This is Samuel's clue to pull back his cheeks in a Cassandra impression: "Moisturise me! Moisturise me!" Adam looks like he wants to do something to noisy Samuel, but it's unlikely to involve moisturising.
(22) Adam and Samuel greatly amused by the description of the game shows. "A hundred different ones!" gasps Samuel. Lynda-with-a-Y has impressed Adam: "She could be the new Doctor Who companion," he ponders.
(23) The Controller appears. "I think I've seen her before," says Adam. "I can't see her properly," squints Samuel.
(23) "Badwolf is the one in charge!" Harry grins at the revelation.
(24) "They are no one," states the controller. "That's what they said last time" recalls Harry.
(25) Adam and Samuel excited by Jack's escape with his new gun. They laugh at the new game show "Bear With Me". But then they're surprised and quietened by the revelation that the Doctor's caused 100 years of hell.
Harry's worked it out. "You see Amy, they've all landed in the same place but in different games," Amy frowns, nods, looks back at the screen and then decides to try a handstand to see if things make more sense when she's upside down.
(26) Everything clicks into place for Amy as she notices an important lighting effect: "The Doctor has purple hair and she's got red hair!"
(28) Samuel gets the "Face of Boe" quiz question correct. And then does his Face of Boe impression in celebration.
(29) Rose is the Weakest Link! Samuel's anxious: "Oh, boy." Rose has got her final question wrong. She runs towards the Doctor, but gets shot... "Poor Rose," mourns Samuel, "blasted into dust." Adam eyes potential new companion Lynda thoughtfully.
Harry and Amy are surprised, but not overly concerned. "The Doctor will still save Rose, won't he Daddy?" Daddy reassures her.
(30) The arrested Doctor is having his mug shots taken. "Good view of his ears," observes Adam. But now our heroes have escaped and are in the lift. Samuel is delighted: "Floor 500... it's made of gold!"
(31) The Doctor hands over his gun: "Don't be thick. Like anyone's ever going to shoot." Adam and Samuel are both very impressed.
(32) They're impressed again by Captain Jack: "Do I look like an out-of-bounds sorta guy?"
(33) "Ooh! There's the TARDIS!" cries an excited Samuel. He looks sad when Jack enters the TARDIS and sees Rose's jacket. "The TARDIS. Phew!" A relieved Harry slumps back on the sofa.
(35) Samuel is amazed by Captain Jack zapping Lynda and bringing her back: "I know what's going to happen! But where are all the humans going?" Adam: "Perhaps they're turning them into Daleks?" Samuel: "Yeah, that previous one told the Doctor that he'd make a good Dalek!" Adam is relieved that potential companion Lynda is still alive. But wait a minute, even better...
(36) ...Rose is still alive! Adam and Samuel are delighted. "Good spaceship!" adds Adam. "It's the eye! It's the eye!" says Samuel gleefully as it pursues Rose.
(37) The Controller appears. There's barely time for Adam to observe "Look at the holes where she was all wired up!" before she gets exterminated. Samuel can't decide whether to be shocked or delighted by this.
(38) "DALEKS!!!" Harry and Amy, both very excited, get closer to the TV.
(38) "You can recognise this music," says Samuel. Adam thinks that the "blue eye" and the reflection were bigger clues. The Doctor has mentioned that someone's been playing a long game. "That's the name of a previous episode," observes Samuel.
(39) "Two hundred ships each containing two thousand..." Samuel's disappointed that the Doctor's faster than him at mental maths, but the number still impresses him: "Half a million!" Adam is astounded as the Doctor faces down the enemy: "It's a Dalek fleet invading Earth!"
(41) Samuel and Adam are wildly enthusiastic during the "Next Time" trailer. Adam: "The Daleks have all got different voices!" Samuel: "Ohhh, yessssss! Some good Dalek weapons!" The phantom Doctor appears in the TARDIS.
Samuel: "He can't die... he's only in his ninth life!" An offscreen voice explains how the Doctor's enemies survived. Adam: "Wow! That sounds like a gi-NOR-mous Dalek!" Samuel: "When's the next episode coming, dad? When? When?" "Look at that! Look at that!" shouts Harry, who can hardly contain himself. Amy asks her Dad "Will Jack be naked again next time?"
