The Rutans were last seen on Earth in Horror of Fang Rock when the Fourth Doctor (Tom Baker) faced a notorious shape-shifting scout intent on converting the planet into a strategic outpost in the battle against the Sontaran Empire.
In just one week's time Earth will witness the return of the Rutan Host when they make their appearance in The Gunpowder Plot.
