Matt Smith surprised Script to Screen competition winners at Oakley Junior School in Basingstoke last week when he made an unexpected appearance during their school assembly.

Script to Screen was the brilliant competition giving 9-11 year olds the chance to write a short script to be filmed by the Doctor Who team and broadcast on the BBC on 01 October. The winning entry was called Death is the Only Answer, and you can watch it on Saturday's Doctor Who Confidential, on BBC Three, right after The Wedding of River Song finishes.
The competition may have ended but you can discover more about Script to Screen on the BBC Learning site where you'll find stacks of help and hints for aspiring writers.
