The Web of Fear

The Web of Fear

BBC Four screen episode one on Saturday.

As part of its Summer in the Sixties season, BBC Four are to screen the only existing episode of the 1968 Yeti tale The Web of Fear.

Starring Patrick Troughton as The Doctor, with Frazer Hines as Jamie and Deborah Watling as Victoria, the episode offers a tantalising glimpse of the Yeti, robot slaves of The Great Intelligence, invading the London Underground.

The Web of Fear episode one will be screened on BBC Four at 8.50pm on Saturday 26th June.

Later that night, at 9.55pm, is an episode of Adam Adamant Lives!: The League of Uncharitable Ladies.

Adam Adamant Lives! tells the story of an Edwardian adventurer who wakes up in the swinging Sixties, having been frozen in a block of ice by his nemesis, The Face.

The series is of interest to Doctor Who fans as it was helmed by Doctor Who's first producer, Verity Lambert.
