Daleks to return?

Daleks to return?

"Negotiations taking place" says a BBC spokeswoman.

The BBC News Online Entertainment section has reported that negotiations are underway about a variety of monsters, including the Daleks.

"Negotiations are going on all over the place about the monsters, including the Daleks. We are just waiting to see what comes out," a BBC spokeswoman told News Online.

Cult did its own bit of checking, and was told the same by Publicity. They stressed, however, that they, "Could not confirm the Daleks, or any other monsters for the new series."

"It's just too early to say," they told us. They added that no casting decisions had been made yet either. So, looks like there's no change in the situation, really.

Meanwhile, Russell T Davies, speaking to Teletext TV Plus, said that Dalek negotiations were going well, and added, "The estate is protecting an important property, after all, and I can appreciate why they are being so careful."

Of course, if all the rumours out there were to be believed, we'll soon be sitting down to watch a sex-mad Doctor (played by Shane Ritchie/Paul Daniels/Ken Dodd) battling CGI Daleks/Monoids and accompanied by a modernised K-9 or Frobisher.
