What a wonderful place Strabane Station was. I lived in Sheffield but spent the family summer holidays in Belfast. I spent all my pocket money travelling on the railways and in particular going to Strabane where the staff were so friendly, none more so than Willie John Carlin. What a wonderful word he is doing. I also remember the foreman John Dunn. I took many slides at that time and I am delighted to see my picture of the platform on a wet day at the top of this page.
