The best of both worlds…(permalink)

Regular visitors to this site will have noticed that recently we’ve been featuring and expanding on stories that have been broadcast on BBC Radio Ulster’s Saturday morning Your Place and Mine programme. This fledgling partnership is set to blossom early in the New Year when A Sense of Place will merge with its radio cousin to create a multimedia experience, bringing together the strengths of the radio programme and the interactive website.

A Sense of Place will be relaunched under the title of Your Place and Mine. We have completely redesigned the site which will have a fresh new look and will be easier to find your way around. We’ve created a much easier way of adding your articles and replies too.

One important thing won’t change – it’s your website. It’s still about your stories and thoughts on events, characters and places in Northern Ireland. The new site will not be just a mirror image of the radio programme. Only selected radio articles will feature on the website. The two production teams will work closely together and our hope is that this relationship will bring an enriched experience for our users and listeners alike… that’s you!

We’ll keep you updated about the relaunch date, but in the meantime do please continue to browse and contribute to this site.

The Sense of Place team would like to wish you a happy Christmas, every best wish for 2004 and thank you for your contributions during 2003.
