Waste of airtime

Spacephantom writes about Crime Traveller

Anthony Horowitz

1997

TV: Crime Traveller.
Creator: Anthony Horowitz

Encapsulated. Would you recommend this? why?

Totally nonsensical storylines and bored actors obviously going through the motions. The worst so called Science Fiction series ever shown on the BBC. Only beaten for the dubious accolade of worst SF show ever by BSB's dreadful Jupiter Moon.

Time and Space: When and where I first encountered it

Saw it advertised on the BBC, and was quite looking forward to it. I shouldn't have bothered.

Recollection and revelations

It amazes me now that I watched every episode of this drivel in the hope that it might get better. It didn't. To think I could have spent my time doing something marginally more enjoyable like pulling my own teeth.

Before this...

The Time Tunnel

Irwin Allen's rip-roaring time-travel adventure from the 60s. Great fun.

After This

Life on Mars

Almost didn't watch Life on Mars because I hated Crime Traveller so much and thought it might be similar. How wrong can you be? It turned out to be my second favourite TV show of 2006 behind Doctor Who and slightly ahead of Torchwood.

Related Comments...

Looking back on my comments here, I have to admit they were a bit harsh. The pulling teeth comment in particular was a bit out of order. I must have been in a bad mood that day. Still say it was a feeble attempt at an SF series though, unlike the brilliant "Life on Mars".
