Bleak '70s chiller

akaSoylentGreen66 writes about The Changes

TV: The Changes.
Creator: Peter Dickinson, Anna Home

Encapsulated. Would you recommend this? why?

Absolutely chilling...even to a 10 Year old in 1975!

Time and Space: When and where I first encountered it

I remember being the only one in the room left watching this - my sister hated the bleakness, my Mother merely tutted away in despair and retired to the kitchen.

Recollection and revelations

Discovered by accident - as all things are to 10 year old - and, to be honest, there wasn't much viewing choice anyway. Most memorable moments were the luddite riots, the opening titles, the chilling music and the big stone thing at the end that controlled society. Not for the faint hearted.
