Roger Damon Price

1973

TV: The Tomorrow People.
Creator: Roger Damon Price

Encapsulated. Would you recommend this? why?

The Tomorrow People was more about storyline and morality, so was great for kids of all ages. I recently bought the'complete' package and was pleasantly surprised by how well it has aged (bar more than a handful of rather poor sfx!). As soon as the theme tune came over the speakers, the first time I'd heard it in over 20 years...well, I was back with Nick, Stephen and co and ready to jaunt at a moment's notice.

Time and Space: When and where I first encountered it

I was around 10 or 11 when TTP started. I was hooked from the first episode, which was around 1973/4 I think.

Recollection and revelations

Certain images have stayed with me thro the years..Tim the 'ceiling' computer (they never did catch on, did they!), the jaunting belts/wristbands, the wonderful storylines (The Blue and the Green was my favourite!). I also remember as I child thinking/hoping I might be next to break out...that was the joy of it..it could be your turn next!

Before this...

Hmm..I honestly can't remember, sorry!

Erm..!

After This

Too many to mention...HG Wells, Huxley, Silverberg, Wyndham...

An avid fan of SF and Fantasy writing...so much more fun than all this reality,eh?!
