TV: Star Trek: The Next Generation.
Creator: Gene Roddenberry

Encapsulated. Would you recommend this? why?

It was my first experience of watching a grown-up sci-fi series.

Time and Space: When and where I first encountered it

I was about 10-11, in 1995-6.

Recollection and revelations

I used to get taken to Guides by a mates dad, and waited for them to pick me up in the front room, watching the telly. This was at about 6.45 on a Wednesday or Thursday and Star Trek -TNG was on. Gradually I started watching it properly and taping the end of the episodes. Then watched DS9 and Voyager, then the rest of science fiction!

After This

Deep Space Nine

It was the natural follow on from TNG. I started watching that and enjoyed the more 'realistic' atmosphere.
